Hi guys,

Need some help on next step, a lot has happened in the last 24 hours.

1) NVC Case Complete

2) Interview Date in Guangzhou US Embassy has been set (end of Oct)

3) My case is electronic processing (GZO****)

I reviewed and understand the documents list my wife needs to bring to the interview

But can anyone tell me what is the next step? On the phone the lady wasn't very helpful, she just said wait for email. But I have less than 2 months before the interview and have no idea what to do next.

1) Will the beneficiary receive snail mail package for the interview details, or is everything via email since we signed up for EP

2) What about the health checkup? I actually went to the clinic/hospital place in china and they said you can't schedule it unless you have the letter from the us embassy (how do i get this letter?)

3) Anything else I need to do before my wife shows up on the interview date? I read you need to goto some us embassy website to pay additional fees and bring another cover letter to the interview? But the NVC lady said i don't have to do anything?

Basically I am asking what other things i need to do besides bringing the required docs to the interview?

Thank you much!

ok i found the website: http://ustraveldocs.com/cn/cn-steps.asp

but when i try to go in and select "Immigrant" it blocks me with the following message:

Immigrant Visa

If you are immigrating to the United States, you need to have a petition approved by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). See the Immigrant Visa Information page for additional information. This process is handled separately by the Embassy.

You should receive a letter from NVC. It should state where and when is the interview and what to bring to the interview. It is a 4-page letters. NVC email the letter to me and also got it in mail. My wife is bring her parent (IR-5) to the US. I call NVC on Tuesday morning, the 2rd, to check if case was complete. There told me case was complete and wait for the email. Later in the afternoon I receive the letter by email and on Thursday by mail. You should call NVC again.

IR-5 for wife's parents:
3-24-2014: I-130 approved
4-08-2014: USCIS sent to NVC
5-07-2014: Case recieved at NVC
5-15-2014: Case number & IIN Assigned
5-21-2014: Completed DS-261
5-22-2014: Sent ENROLL EP email
5-27-2014: Sent AOS through EP
6-14-2014: Case number change from GUZ to GZO

7-04-2014: Sent DS-260 fee

7-07-2014: Sent Civil Documents

7-08-2014: Completed DS-260

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

8-27-2014: Case COMPLETE! YES!...YES!...YES! :joy::thumbs::dance:

Hi Ming, thanks for the reply. Did you have to goto the website I linked above to pay fees or schedule appointment?

I am still waiting for my letter but am very confused because on the website it said i need to use it to schedule interview dates and pay fees for immigrant visa CR1 etc.. myself. But NVC is telling me the interview date has already been set.

i just checked nvc status page, and it says my case is "In Transit" yet i already have an interview date, how is that possible if my case hasnt even reached the guanzhou embassy yet. Also i received no email or letters from NVC. I am going to call them again, but they dont really tell you anything.

you claim interview date set,

so

there Is an interview/appointment letter in your email.

print that out, it's THAT letter the medical exam place in Guangzhou needs to see.

as to 'what to bring' - everything submitted into NVC via EP, with the exception of the DS-261 - not need that.

caveat on DS-260 - only need receipt/confirmation page [not payment receipt].

---

so - the list?

1. original I-864 with original signature [photocopies/scans not cut it here]

2. tax data for prior years income

3. proof of current annual income

--

4. civil docs and white books

--

5. unsure about medical exam results - I think you hand carry that, but I could be wrong.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Hi Darnell, that's the problem I still havent received ANYTHING in the email. I know the interview date because when I call NVC they told me as it's on my case. And also on the ceac website it says "In Transit: Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center."

But I havent received anything in email or snail mail regarding this interview letter. When i asked NVC they give me the run around saying to wait a few more days etc..

Do you know who actually sends this interview letter, is it the embassy or NVC?

Thanks again!
