My husband entered the U.S. with a K-1 Fiance visa. He applied for his EAD, I-131 and I-485. The only one now pending is the I-485. We have been sent a RFE (request for evidence) because they lost documents in our case. Most recently they requested the physical exam with the civil surgeon and birth certificate (which we included in original I-485). We sent the completed RFE with sealed medical docs and have record that it arrived. 1 month has passed by and nothing has been updated online. We called USCIS and they have no record of it arriving. They said we can either set up an Info Pass appt or wait until the case get denied. We have been to an Info Pass appt before and they were not helpful at all. What options do we have? We were able to get the an other sealed envelope from CC Surgeon but obliviously we do not have the ORIGINAL RFE LETTER anymore since it was sent the first time.

We are going to an infopass at the same address where we need to send the RFE, can we bring the package there without risking to sending it again?

Thank you

Did you not make a copy of the RFE letter for your own records before sending it off? If you did, then bring that with you and what you need to respond to the RFE to your infopass appointment. If not, then go without the copy of the letter. They should be able to instruct you as to what to do, even if that means having you mail another response. If you need to resend it, then use some form of mailing that has delivery confirmation.

Oh yeah! I did copy of everything, the RFE letter as well, but it is not yellow paper of course.
