They will send you a list of Doctors who do them. I'm pretty sure every Province will have one. I know for me in Edmonton, the cost is $220.00. I will have to have the Titres test because the Health Unit here has no records of my Immunizations, but my Alberta Heath Care will cover that.

OHIP doesn't cover the medical - you will have to cover the costs yourself. If you or your children require any immunizations go to your own doctor and have them done before the medical as they probably will be covered by OHIP. Obtain proof of the immunizations and bring it with you to the medicals. You will need medicals for the three of you. Make sure you get a copy of the vaccination worksheet from the panel physician who does the medicals. There are a number of doctors in Ontario who are authorized to do the medical - choose the one that is closest to you or the one who gives you the best price - the price does vary from doctor to doctor. The Consulate will enclose a list of authorized panel physicians when it sends you the package of forms and information you need.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Also, some VJ'ers from Canada have been able to have their private insurance cover all or part of the medical, ir you have private insurance :)

your kids should have their vaccination records easily enough, but if you can't get yours, don't bother getting new vaccinations, just get blood drawn at your family doctor and have them run titres. Test results usually take a couple of weeks, so go enough in advance that you can take the results with you to your medical exam.

I had the titres done for free from OHIP at my GPs office, got a Tetanus booster for free at the GP, and the medical exam cost me I think it was $180 something in Toronto. The doctor even commended me on having the titres done rather than having un-neccesary vaccinations. You'll probably only need a tetanus booster.

divorced - April 2010 moved back to Ontario May 2010 and surrendered green card

PLEASE DO NOT PRIVATE MESSAGE ME OR EMAIL ME. I HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT CURRENT US IMMIGRATION PROCEDURES!!!!!

I was going to get the Titres done when I go for the Medical. I went yesterday to do it instead. I figure I'll have the records and extra time in case I need any other shots. I had my Tetnus done a few weeks ago and have that record now. Neither of those two things cost me anything to get.

I used fast pay from Blue Cross - they tell you then and there, so i didn't have to wait for a verdict.

I also do group admin for our company on our health insurance policy. Our policy stated that out of province costs for medical exams and x-rays/blood work would be covered. SO that's how mine got covered I believe (I had to go to another province for a "US Approved" medical. I called a few weeks later about an in province medical for a driver's test (for another of our employees), and Blue Cross said no. It's always worth a shot though to send them in, they can only say no!
