I-129F sent a week ago, nothing received, still normal?

Sent on 8/28, I thought I would have received an email or text message already ... still normal?

8/28/14：I-129F sent

9/4/14: $340 check posted to my bank account

9/5/14: email and text acceptance confirmation received

9/8/14: online status shows Alien Registration Number changed

9/12/14: Form I-797C received in the mail

4/7/15: Got text message and email saying the case was approved

4/9: Form I-797 received in the mail

4/13: Got text message and email saying the case was sent to the Department of State for visa processing

4/20: Called NVC and was told they just received it today

4/22: Called NVC, no case# yet

4/27: Called NVC, got case#, invoice# and beneficiary id#

Yes its normal. How did you mail the petition? Did you send by express delivery or regular postal mail?

I mailed my petition on April 3 for overnight delivery. They received it April 4, but I did not receive a text until April 9.

It can take 30 days for uscis to send any notification. Although most folks get something between 2-3 weeks from delivery confirmation date.

I sent via priority mail 2 days and certified with return receipt requested ... thank you both to ease my mind a bit.

I sent via priority mail 2 days and certified with return receipt requested ... thank you both to ease my mind a bit.

Give about three business days from the date it was delivered. I would say you would receive a text message on your cellphone and e-mail simultaneously tomorrow Fri Sep 5th, if your gave them your number and address.

Your packet was mailed on 8/28.

Assuming it was delivered on 9/2.

Assuming your packet was processed like mine, you would have electronic notification on 9/5.

If that is the case, you would receive a NOA1 hard copy on 9/11.

Afterwards, the waiting game begins.

Actually I just saw that they posted my check! So that means they got the package ... I still don't see the email or text though. Funny how the priority goes ...

Actually I just saw that they posted my check! So that means they got the package ... I still don't see the email or text though. Funny how the priority goes ...

I know I sent mine the same way. When I checked USPS tracking I saw someone had signed for it and was so relieved. It took 5 days after that to get my NOA1. Your on ur way now! Or "up and running" as my fiancé would say lol

You can see "someone signed for it"? What I see from USPS tracking is only this:

Odd to see that they "delivered" on a holiday Monday? Does that mean they actually worked on that day?

Anyway, one of few times you are so glad to see money leaves your bank account :-)
