I-130 and 1-485. I didn't bother with an I-765 as my youngest is 4 months old so it wasn't really needed. I was out of status from a tourist visa back in 2007, circumstances changed fast then it's been a long slow journey with other legal things.

I know with me I Got one for each application with a MSC # so you should get 4. And CONGRATS!!! you should be getting yours any day now. They sent mine out October 4th and I only got it today.

Just received my SSN after applying for it last Monday! I used my EAD to apply it. It says there that it's valid only with working permit, but the guy on SSA said that it doesn't matter even when I have received my green card already! Our interview is on Wednesday this week (Dec.17) and gush I am so scared! But excited, too!!! I hope everyone is doing great!

1 hour ago I received an email from USCIS. changes in my case: interview January 15!!!!!!!

Status in my 485 never changed since September when they received the document. I know to some people they sent another email first saying they are looking for a date etc. I felt so weird already lol

What should I expect? What info does the physical notice actually say?

The actual interview letter says location, time, date, then a check list of all the things to bring with you. I think it's a standard list because out of everything I brought they only looked at mine and my husbands birth certificate.

Our story...

Met online in 2006. Visited in 2007 for three months, found out I was pregnant.

Hi everyone! We had our interview today and it was sooooooo fun! The officer was really nice and it's like she's just having a friendly conversation with us. Here's what happened:

First was she asked us to stand up, raise our right hand and swear that everything we say will be the truth. And then she asked us first and foremost, which was also like the only question that she asked, was if I had any intention to get married when I came here last April (as I entered via tourist visa), which I answered no, because my husband just surprised me and spoke to my parents who were also visiting! She then asked the questions on the I-485 form on terrorism, felonies, etc, all of which I said 'no' to. And then she asked for documents to support our relationship and the rest was just plain conversation, like three longtime friends catching up! She then told me that she will go back to Anchorage to update my status, and I will be receiving an e-mail that my card is in production, and I will be receiving my green card in a month. She even shared where she was from, and we commended her great personality! Yay!

Ahh! All the wait was worth it! I am really glad that she was nice enough to make everything so smooth and easy! We were there for around 10-15 mins! I hope everyone will have a great interview as well! Happy Holidays!

Oh I'm glad it went okay. I have always been worried because I entered on a visitor visa as well. Getting married was never our intention. I'm happy it went all good. What kind of evidence did you take with you?

Adjustment of Status

09/22/2014 - Package (I-130, I-485 Concurrent Filing) sent to Chicago Lockbox. (Day 00)

09/23/2014 - Package delivered and signed for by R Mercado (Day 01)

09/26/2014 - Texts and E-Mails Received by USCIS Stating Acceptance (Day 04)

09/30/2014 - NOA received in the Mail (Day 08)

10/09/2014 - Biometrics Letter Received in the Mail (Day 17)

10/22/2014 - Sucessful Biometrics Completed (Day 30)

12/08/2014 - Texts and E-Mails Received for EAD Card in Production (Day 77)

12/15/2014 - Email Received for I-485 going into interview and testing for January 15, 2015 (Day 84)

12/15/2014 - Email Received that EAD has been mailed out (Day 84)

12/16/2014 - Email Received stating notice was mailed to home address for interview (Day 85)

12/17/2014 - EAD Received in the mail (Day 86)

12/18/2014 - Hard Copy of Notice of Interview for 01/15/15 (Day 86)
