Just wanted to share my thoughts on the biometric appointment completed today. It actually took me longer to drive there (20 min from my downtown office) than to get it done (15 min). My appointment was for 11am. I checked in at 10:45am and left at 11am. Everyone was friendly (but had an underlying seriousness which I expected), not crowded at all. Now the real waiting begins.

Did anyone else file an I-864W (Affidavit of Support Exemption) due to having 40 quarters/credits besides me? Wondering if this will speed up or slow down the process. Thanks!

I know with me I Got one for each application with a MSC # so you should get 4. And CONGRATS!!! you should be getting yours any day now. They sent mine out October 4th and I only got it today.

My appointment letter was in the mail today, Notice Date of October 30 2014. So I guess the online notifications run a few days behind.

Our story...

Met online in 2006. Visited in 2007 for three months, found out I was pregnant.

Married June 2014 (L)

Adjustment of Status

Sep-26-2014 (Day 0) Sent I-130 and I-485 to Chicago via USPS Express Mail

Sep-29-2014 (Day 3) AOS Delivered

Oct-03-2014 (Day 7) Checks processed, texts with NoA

Oct-08-2014 (Day 12) Hard copy NoA in mail

Oct-14-2014 (Day 18) Biometrics Appointment letter for 10/21/2014

Oct-21-2014 (Day 25) Biometrics completed

Oct-27-2014 (Day 31) I-485 changed to Testing and Interview

Nov-03-2014 (Day 38) Interview letter received for December 4th!

Dec-04-2014 (Day 69) Interview, approved on the spot.

Dec-05-2014 (Day 70) I-485 status card production ordered/I-130 approved.

Dec-12-2014 (Day 77) Green Card in hand.

Nov-07-2016 (Day 0) Sent I-751

Nov-09-2016 (Day 2) NOA1

I just got my biometrics done this morning. It was quick and easy, the staffs are very friendly.

Adjustment of Status

9/18/2014 - Package shipped by USPS (00)

9/22/2014 - Package delivered (05)

10/09/2014 - Received SMS and emails, 11PM (22)

10/10/2014 - Check cashed (23)

10/15/2014 - Received hard copies of NOAs (28)

10/23/2014 - Received Biometric Appointment Letter (for Nov 03) (36)

11/03/2014 - Completed Biometric (47)

11/06/2014 - "Testing and Interview" on I-485 (50)

11/14/2014 - Get the notification stating that our interview has been scheduled (58) on December 18th (92)

11/19/2014 - I-131 status moved to "Advance Parole Document Was Produced"

....

12/18/2014 - Interview (Day 92) , APPROVED ON SPOT

12/19/2014 - Emails and Texts saying I-130 has been approved and I-485 new card is being produced

12/29/2014 - Card was mailed

12/29/2014 - Card was Delivered. Best HAPPY NEW YEAR gift/greet ever!!!

I have a second RFE.I´m so extremely bummed out. just checked my status online and it says RFE. If have no idea why. I followed everything in the instructions..

I have a flight to catch on december 9th..I guess my chances are bad for an approval before that :((

Congratulations arthurfca. Did your status change to testing and interview before you got your interview notice? Pls update your signature ?

On October 7 th fingerprint ead approved on 18th received on 28th. On October 29 th 700 am I receive email saying my case went for test and inervier and I would get a notification when it was schedule and finally today at 0715 am I got email and text saying my interview was scheduled. Now once u get a green card u don't need the EAD anymore. In most cases the IO at the interview take them away. If not u just save on safe place. That it.

Hi guys,

So I received my RFE letter in the mail yesterday and they said I didnt submit all the documents for my spouse (petitioner) Which I know I did! And also that the income doesnt meet the poverty guidelines.

Like I thought they look at the current income and not the past income. Anyway they said I NEED TO prove assets or get a joint sponsor. So thats what we are going to do. Her father(who doesnt live with us) will sponsor us and I need someone in the forum who used a joint sponsor and got their process moved forward to answer this question.

WHAT EXACTLY DO I NEED FROM THE JOINT SPONSOR THAT WILL NOT CAUSE ANYMORE PROBLEMS???

PLEASE HELP!

Proof of US citizenship ( naturalization/birth certificate, US passport ), employment letter, pay stubs for the past 6 months, Tax transcripts or proof of filed taxes for the past 3 years. ( I used transcripts ) .. That's all I submitted for my joint sponsor and I received no RFEs so far. BTW taxes for the most recent Tax year are

MUY importante !
