We received our biometrics letter today - our appointment is for October 2nd, and I think we're going to stick with it because we're out of town before that and it's not worth the time off work going down on a whim.

Congrats!! Finally I've just got my first SMS/Email notification from USCIS I've submitted I-130, I-485, I-131 and I-765 How many notifications should I expect?

I know with me I Got one for each application with a MSC # so you should get 4. And CONGRATS!!! you should be getting yours any day now. They sent mine out October 4th and I only got it today.

We got out texts and emails September 18 at almost midnight and next day 19 they cashed the money from the checks.

Now waiting to get the letters in our mail :) :)

Just bring all your documents to DMV and see if you're lucky or not.

It's harmless so why dont we try.

An NOA is really just a receipt, so I doubt they will accept only that, since it does not give you any status. You should maybe check on your local DMV's website to look at documents they will accept. What visa are you adjusting from? In my state you cannot apply for a driver's license with for example a visitor's visa (it explicitly states so on their website).

If I were you I would check before I go, because the wait at a DMV can be long... :)

I read about the forums some DMV will let you :) maybe you are lucky. The ones in Florida will let you.

In Georgia looks like they only want SSN ( I looked at the website and read some old post here )

Our application is the adjustment from J1 (no 2 years rules) and I have seen on this forum some cases successfully got a driver license just with NOA (they are all in Florida, i think).
