I just checked the mailbox and squealed like a little girl. Biometrics appointment scheduled only a week away! Go figure my husband works 48 hour shifts on Monday and Tuesdays, so he'll have to take some time off. New Orleans is not somewhere I like to drive, 2 hours away and three kids in tow. I'm excited!

Great news! cONGRATULATIONS from your state-and-nation (older!) twin sister...

Hello, i have a Question we sent our package out Sep.22 arrived and sign by CHYBA need to say we sent it to the Mailroom with UPS

so we still didnt got any NOA, so my husband called today and they told him , when you send it to this address

USCIS

Attn: FBAS
131 South Dearborn - 3rd Floor
Chicago, IL 60603-5517

they dont even look at it before the 30 day mark and after the 30 days they start an investigation

im kinda lost, why is the address on there if they dont even look at it before or why they dont said anything like that on the website we would have it way cheaper with USPS and the PO BOX

anyone have experience maybe??

I don't really understand what the problem is, are you wondering if you shouldn't have sent it to that address? Because we sent ours to that address via FedEx and did not have any problem. Our notification texts came promptly and our filing date is the day it arrived.

Did you file form G-1145? Have your checks been cashed?

That being said, sometimes the paper NOAs are just a little slow. They have to check the packages for completion before sending out the NOA.

I understand on the website tp sent it there so we did...checks not cashed, we filled G-1145 for everything..we called today and they told us our file isnt in the computet yet but we dont have to be wondering about because they just look at it after 30 days when we ship it to this address. So i was wondering when i spent the over $100 for express mail while it should sit there for at least 30 days before they look at it..he spoke to 2 different Tier2 officers because we cant believe what they told us

We are very disappointed at the moment. They said also that we have to wait the 30 days and then its going to be investigate after we called again if we dont call nothing will be happen

I sent to the Dearborn address, and I'm sure it was on the website for Express Mail. We spent $19.99 sending the AoS by USPS Express Mail and it was accepted within days.

Hi, I got an RFE and it was for the I864 - asking for complete tax returns and proof my husband makes above the poverty line. He makes way more than that but I guess the Affidavit of Support documents weren't complete. We'll do it over and send it next week.

@ chad+ I sent my docs to the same address and didn't hear from them for 17 days. Unfortunately you just have to wait. What they mean is until it is PAST 30 days, they won't go out of their way to look for your documents. Very annoying position for them to take I know. Hang in there.

They just won't go physically check for you until it's been 30 days - you may well receive your NOA's before then. It doesn't have anything to do with where you sent it. They technically have 30 days to respond.

Congrats! Thats really fast for EAD, did you request an expedite?

No, but we didn't request AP so that may have something to do with it. My husband is on an H1B that he can travel on if he needs to, but we aren't planning on any international travel in the next few months.

Finally got my acceptance texts/emails last night (day 21), what a relief! I must be one of the last September filers to receive NOA1.

At this rate I may need to file for EAD, as my work visa (TN) expires July 2015.
