I just checked the USCIS website and my EAD has jumped to "My card was ordered to be produced" and AP has been approved! Woohoo I'm so happy!!

If they catch you working for cash without your EAD or Green card your AOS will be denied and you can even get deported! We are still not 100% admitted in this country until our green card is aprove

GC Expedite Request Update: Denied

I expedited the GC due to drivers license issue in SC but then again denied since the reason isn't that urgent.

So I think I would have to walk with video and post it to youtube so they could see or take a picture maybe.

Although I have my EAD but without DL it's still harder again.

GC Expedite Request Update: Denied

I expedited the GC due to drivers license issue in SC but then again denied since the reason isn't that urgent.

So I think I would have to walk with video and post it to youtube so they could see or take a picture maybe.

Although I have my EAD but without DL it's still harder again.

Go to a different DMV they have to allow you to have DL , I mean there are states that even give DL to undocumented people and you have EAD that's a document that allows DL!!

I've read other people who similar happened and they had to go a different day and talk to a different person or go to another DMV.... I checked Georgia's website and says with EAD you can get DL if you find that in the website of your state print it and bring it to them.

Il try to go to Charleston on Monday...if I go to a different state it will only be good 3 mos I guess here in SC I'm not that sure but il try

I agree, go to another dmv, you can drive with a ead. If it allows you to work, it allows you to drive too.

Looked up SC dmv website. It says there if you have work authorization you can apply for DL.

Just research more about it and print it for documentation so you can show it to the DMV personnel.

9/2/14- Delivered to Chicago lockbox

9/5/14- Received texts with receipt numbers, Online status updated for all four cases to " Acceptance" & " Initial review "

9/9/14- NOA1 hard copies received in mail

9/12/14- Biometrics letter recieved ( Date set for 9/22/14 )

9/15/14- Biometrics completed

9/16/14- Submitted EAD Expedite through congressman

9/24/14- Case moved to " Testing and interview "

9/26/14- EAD and AP Approved

10/2/14- EAD Mailed

10/3/14- EAD 'Delivered'.. but never recieved :ranting:

10/16/14- Interview date received for 11/19 - My birthday! :D

11/19/14- Interview day- Approved- PR status registered & Welcome letter mailed

I did that and even read out loud... But they said it refers only to J1, H, F visa holders only. k1 until the GC is confirm approve then that's the time a K1 is considered a resident.

SC is a state that is very open and welcomes J1 and H2B visa. Infact next summer 200 pinoys will be coming over one of those is my cousin.

All that matters is that you got it and it wasn't lost in the mail somewhere. Congrats

Yes very happy time!! I have to go to the social security office first to get my social security card updated to my married name. I don't know how long it will take to get my new card. Whenever I get it, I'll go get my DL. I can't wait! :)

Your EAD will probably be mailed on Monday and you should get it 2 days after, so it's coming soon!!

Wow at least the waiting game is now down to one the GC...

At least now we can move on...

Let's pray that our good friend @asianculture will be approve next week for her EAD...
