So I haven't been around the forum since Thursday night! I was busy all weekend it was my birthday Friday 21st and I've been with my inlaws doing things.

1 hour ago I checked uscis and everything was as usual I just checked again before going to sleep and my AP is aproved date November 24 and EAD is in card production!!!!!!!!

I'm so excited a couple tears jumped out me eyes hahahaha seriously.

The thing is I never got any emails and when I click in each case it says individually approved since November 22 both and November 24 card production.

Congrats to everybody else who I see with news too!! I will update my timeline now to help others.

I'm very happy :)

Congrats! & happy belated bday!! We pretty much have the same timeline! :star: Weird how they didn't send you any email notifications...Mine says approved on Nov. 22nd as well..On the 24th I got a text & then later I got an email, at like 11pm lol Did u sign up for text/email notifications on your uscis profile?

So I did get an email :) I forgot to mention about it ! I got it later last night and I saw it this morning when I woke up.

It's just 1 email saying on November 24 card is on production . Never got any updates the 22 when it was first approved. They did not even update the case in uscis website when it was approved everything showed when card was on production already.

My husband says no texts ( we put his number ) but he is outside the country so it could be possible he will get them once he is back in the US

For all of you stressed out and anxious about upcoming interviews, I just thought I'd do a quick post on my AOS interview this morning that was a total breeze. I filed my I-485 paperwork on September 16th after we got married on a K-1 the 5th.

My wife and I drove to our local USCIS office in Spokane, WA for a 7:30am interview. First ones in the door. Lady was chatty, everything was friendly. She put us under oath, re-asked a few of the questions from the AOS package (are you a terrorist? do you have a criminal record anywhere?) and asked why I wasn't wearing my ring (I forgot to put it on after taking it off to go to the gym the night before). Other than that, it was mostly just checking stuff in the package. She didn't ask to see originals of anything (although I had them), and we were done in about 20 minutes, and she approved it on the spot.

The only mildly frustrating thing is that my EAD and AP were issued yesterday (not yet arrived), and they are now invalid, and it may be another few weeks before the green card itself arrives. My I-94 was removed from my passport, and I didn't get a temporary I-551 stamp. Sure hope nobody asks me for proof of status for the next few weeks!

Moral of the story: move to northern Idaho, processing times seem pretty quick up here.

Congrats!!!

My husband always forgets to put his ring too , I even got him a Qalo ring ( silicone kind sports people and army use ) so he could wear it while working or at the gym but he just is not used to wear it.

Your interview seemed very relaxed and fast. So time to move to Idaho! Hahah!

Too bad about the EAD but you now in a couple weeks you will have a better thing :)

Enjoy your GC and new life now!

I would change it using the website tool AND call to make sure they get the memo.

I've read other people who changes address and the interview just gets transfered to the new state they live. Since you don't have interview date yet they will just give it to you in the closest local office.

If you know the address I personally would change it as soon as possible to make sure the EAD goes to the right place

I changed my address back in September, and my EAD and everything else is still being sent to our old place (husband's parents, so not a huge deal). I would recommend setting up a forwarding mail service with USPS to be safe.

Husband got the message yesterday that his EAD was in production! Woo finally. :)

Happy for everyone who has heard so far!!

I have a question, he asked me if he needs a valid (unexpired passport) to get a job, is this necessary? The passport expires in January and there's no telling if he'll have his green card by then. Unfortunately his embassy wont renew it without evidence of his legal presence here... Anyone know?

Also, maybe it has been answered but can you get a GA drivers license with just EAD or do you need the green card (obviously I-94 has expired at this point)?

Also, maybe it has been answered but can you get a GA drivers license with just EAD or do you need the green card (obviously I-94 has expired at this point)?

Hey congrats!! :D

I don't know if a valid passport is needed to get a job. I'm pretty sure it's no big deal if his passport is expired by then. He will have EAD so it should be ok. Maybe someone knows better!

He can get a GA drivers licence with EAD. It says on the DMV Georgia website that they accept EAD (I-766) :)

And thanks for answering a question that I should have been able to google for myself! I think my hubby was looking on a non-official site an got confused about the rules...

I wonder if I have to go with him to the DMV. He probably can't drive himself there, right? Since he's been here more that 30 days, his foreign license isn't really valid for driving here... Meh, I don't have days to take off work. I had so many more vacation days in Europe!
