Welcome letter received in the mail today :) Still awaiting the GC but on the good side I start working tomorrow! Yay Freedom!! :D

70 days after USCIS received my paperwork, I finally got an update that my EAD card is being produced :content:

Yay! You will have your card soon! I'm happy for your progress :)

I just checked the USCIS website and my EAD has jumped to "My card was ordered to be produced" and AP has been approved! Woohoo I'm so happy!!

If they catch you working for cash without your EAD or Green card your AOS will be denied and you can even get deported! We are still not 100% admitted in this country until our green card is aprove

So I haven't been around the forum since Thursday night! I was busy all weekend it was my birthday Friday 21st and I've been with my inlaws doing things.

1 hour ago I checked uscis and everything was as usual I just checked again before going to sleep and my AP is aproved date November 24 and EAD is in card production!!!!!!!!

I'm so excited a couple tears jumped out me eyes hahahaha seriously.

The thing is I never got any emails and when I click in each case it says individually approved since November 22 both and November 24 card production.

Congrats to everybody else who I see with news too!! I will update my timeline now to help others.

I'm very happy :)

5/7/2018: Received Letter stating i751 Case transferred to National Benefits Center, Lee's Summit, MO 64064

5/30/2018: Interview scheduled for N400

7/11/2018: Attended interview and was informed it will be a combo N400/I751 interview

8/6/2018: N400 Approved

8/7/2018: I751 Approved

9/5/2018: Oath Ceremony missed due to travel abroad and letter sent to USCIS to reschedule ceremony

10/2/2018: Officially a US Citizen!

So I just got in the mail my SSN And I've noticed there is a print there that says "valid for work only with DHS authorization" is that the same as what some of you who already received their SSN? The reason why I asked its because i was able to get a SSN when I was using my student visa and during my internship they issued me a SSN and it has the same print written on it too. SAME number thou.

The reason why i requested for a new one is because I changed my last name and my gender marker and when I tecieved it today with my new last name the print is still there.

So I did my little research and YES the print once you apply for a SSN using your EAD will always be there because the EAD is just temporary and is good for a year. the only reason that print will no longer be there is once you got approve for a GREENCARD and request for a new SS card! That's all! Goodnight guys. Hihihihi

Sorry for the confusion I didn't request for a new SSN but for a new SS card.Yes that's true you will only be issued once for a SSN except if you suspect fraud etc. I requested for a new card it's because I changed my drivers license to my married last name so I have to change my SS card too

hi there just want to know how long did it take you to get SSN from the application till you received it in mail?

also, what are the requirements to get SSN? got a job offer and my EAD is coming anytime soon so i am getting SSN anytime soon also.
