I believe although I'm hoping were not affected, this executive might Fire out some speculations of government shutdown. If it will happen those who are in line for greencard and EAD applications will be on hold since USCIS is under the federal government and thus it will work based on there budget and savings only. It happened last year too..

This is what I am scared of, Republican will control the budget and this government shutdown will affect our application big time.......I would love them to fix the immigration and give undocument people a second chance and I hope it will happen in a proper manner without affecting us that are on the process of getting our green card.

I too would love those illegals to be reunited without fear of deportation... But personally after enduring all these hassles which by the way Illegal immigrants are partly to be blamed... I think giving them an easy access to be legal will just make the matters worst and it will be set a notion that if you stay illegally in America for a minimum of 5 years then your good you can be a legal. It defeats the purpose and intention of the law by itself.

One thing I entered the U.S. because of same sex marriage my greatest fear is if the Supreme Court will rule with finality that same sex marriage is illegal even if il get my greencard my status will automatically put me in deportation so with the others. I don't know but if it will happen goodluck.

Indeed...the problem with this government they have tons of unresolve problems, they can't even fix the server of the USCIS website. Good luck for us and hoping for faster result on this ordeal....I really miss working and driving.

Everyone wants equal rights, you want it for your spouse and the undocumented want it to take care of their families. You have to keep in mind , their countries are poor. So providing for their families is life or death. We should be supporting each other not making it harder for everyone. Two other presidents provided amnesty and that was not a problem then, why is it now? We just have to pray all goes well with the government.

Well whatever that executive order is... I hope it can fix the system.

It's just absurd that america is criticizing other nations on human rights and freedom where the country itself is experiencing an immigration problem.

If I have an advise to the President... "Don't let america act as a police in the world, but rather be a police in your own country first. The world has a lot of problems to solve including our own, let those nations resolve there struggle and if they can't let the United nation handle it after all it was organize in that concept".

You are correct that 2 pervious president provided amnesty and the result.....the number of undocumented were quadruple as of 2011 survey, so I guess the previous 2 presidents didn't do the correct way of resolving the issue, it's just my own opinion. I hope this time, Mr. Obama will do the right way. There's always a better way.
