So I'm currently in Boston for school and my EAD arrived at my address at Chicago. Can my husband apply for SSN on my behalf?

I believe since its the first and the last time you will apply for a SSN you need An appearance . One thing is your husband can mail you the EAD and and you can always get one at any SSA office there in Boston.

I just checked the USCIS website and my EAD has jumped to "My card was ordered to be produced" and AP has been approved! Woohoo I'm so happy!!

If they catch you working for cash without your EAD or Green card your AOS will be denied and you can even get deported! We are still not 100% admitted in this country until our green card is aprove

Has anyone had an interview yet? Mine is Thursday and I am just starting to get the jitters. I have been with my husband for 8 years as I studied in the usa but it is still nerve wracking! I will get on a computer tonight and update timeline but until then it is in signature!

I think you will be the first.... Some of us are still waiting for our dates, me included. Well I know you will do great. If you have time, try going to google or YouTube and they have sample questions there. Keep us posted :)

Just checked our case status and the EAD card has been created and mailed. :dancing:

Also AP has been approved. Now we can go to the Philippines for Christmas or maybe the Bahamas :)

Mine is Wednesday, I get exactly how you feel.. I've just been kicking the nervous thoughts out of my head and reminding myself all im being questioned about is our relationship, which I feel 100% comfortable answering whatever questions they may have. It's like you have no reason to be nervous but you still feel it anyway lol

9/5/14- Received texts with receipt numbers, Online status updated for all four cases to " Acceptance" & " Initial review "

9/9/14- NOA1 hard copies received in mail

9/16/14- Submitted EAD Expedite through congressman

9/24/14- Case moved to " Testing and interview "

Well I'm done with USCIS... I don't care anymore if they will act on my cases or not I just don't trust on the system anymore.

I am just enjoying myself playing bingo at least it's fun and also I can earn if il win.

I have an update. Thank god. I sent in the paperwork for the new co sponsor on September 9 and it was delivered at the 11th. Meanwhile I contactet my congresswoman for expedite and her office worked hard on it!
I had an job offer pending but only until this week. So this morning the congresswomans office sent me an email that my AP/EAD were approved today!
I'm SO relieved and happy about this..
I can only recommend contacting congressmen or women! It was a big help..

Today I updated my resume and looked at available jobs in my area. I also looked for work at home jobs. I wish they would just approve my EAD soon, it's ok with me even if they take a long time processing my greencard.
