Not trying to be a Debbie Downer but mine has been "ready to be scheduled for an interview" since 10/8/14 and the website says that I should have received an interview notice by 11/7/14 if not to contact them to get the notice re-sent. Well, I contacted them on 11/10/14 to let them know that I never received anything but the lady on the phone told me that their system doesn't show that I have even been scheduled at all! So basically told me that the date is probably a fluke due to their new system... sigh...

Does that mean i should not hope for an interview notice by december 12th too...? it says i can request for an e-receipt if i dont get a hard copy by dec 12th. i wonder if you can access the website the gave you for an e-recept and see if you have any luck.

Ok guys, here's an update that might be of interest to people who have not send a medical exam form.. i guess that might be only myself :P

As a reminder I did not send it because I wanted to get the process started and do the medical while the application is pending (in other words put myself in the queue for EAD as soon as possible :P )

Anyways, I was checking the mail and I saw a USCIS envelope with a yellow paper in it (which looks like ANOTHER RFE) so I almost had a heart attack :(

I opened the envelope almost ready to die and then I saw that it just says that it's for the medical exam which I expected and it's ok but they are not even asking for it! Here's what they say:

"An initial review of evidence submitted with your Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status determined that Form I-693, Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record, has not been submitted or has been submitted and is not sufficient for the following reason(s):

[x] A completed and signed I-693 was not submitted; or all pages of Form I-693 are not present or of the same revision date.

You will be required to submit a valid completed and signed Form I-693 at a later date. If you receive an interview notice in the mail, you will be required to bring your updated Form I-693 to your interview. In the even that you are not required to attend an interview, you will be issued a Request for Evidence requiring you to submit an updated Form I-93.

I'M SO GLAD THIS IS NOT AN RFE :D The yellow page just scares the heck out of me!

Follow up question. Did she give you any answer other than saying it's a "fluke"?

so where does your application stand now?

Did she have you a new update? If so did they tell you till when to expext a letter?

She didn't really give me any answer and my application is still "ready for scheduling". She did not have a new update and although I did go to their website to request the "notice" be re-sent, I got an automated reply that stated something along the lines of "You should hear from us by 12/3/14 regarding your request" but I don't know what they're going to tell me since I was never really scheduled anyways. I honestly think that those new dates that are showing on their new system are more like were they would like to be at but given that they have a backlog, they are not meeting those internal (for lack of a better word) timelines.

Just so tired of waiting... not to mention I am 7.5 months pregnant and due 1/5/15. I just hope my interview comes before baby does!! :)

Thanks so much for sharing this! I was wondering about the same thing! I have completed my I-693 after I've sent in my application since I was planning to show it at the interview. Glad to hear it works!

I had my biometrics done 3 weeks ago and no updates to my cases ever since. I've changed the last 2 digits of my case receipt number when on my uscis to check the status of previous cases to estimate when they will be processing my case. Approx 2 weeks ago the last processed case was 38 and now the last processed one was 39. So it looks like it's taking quite a while to process one case. Would it be because everybody with the diversity visa is getting processed as of 1 October too? It seems to go slower than for people who applied before the end of September.

Nothing for me either. It will be a month since bio for me. I think it's a combination of data renewals and holiday season, so they are a bit overloaded. I was hoping to process my case before the holiday season sets in, but I guess nothing won't happen until the new year. Let the wait continue............

I gave up the idea of starting work this year but still hoping that I will get the EAD before the holidays so I can change my name on my SSC and get my CA driver license.

I have so many things to do once I get my EAD and now I have all the time in the world but no EAD. It's so frustrating! I feel like they should rly try harder to speed up this process!

Does that mean i should not hope for an interview notice by december 12th too...? it says i can request for an e-receipt if i dont get a hard copy by dec 12th. i wonder if you can access the website the gave you for an e-recept and see if you have any luck.

It ALL depends on your local office. Look at how fast people are getting interviews at your local office and that should be a good indicator for you. Some people's offices are operating at well under a month after testing and interview. My case status says I should have received an interview notice by November 5th, but I know that for my local office, I'll probably receive a notice in mid to late December for an interview sometime in late January. That date on the USCIS website is completely arbitrary, though after that date you are welcome to request the e-receipt, but all that will do is they will send you a response saying that they will reply to your case by some random date a month out from your request. I did it even though I know that the website is faulty and there is NO way I am scheduled for an interview at this point.

Just want to add my good news! Got an email this morning that we've been scheduled for our interview on December 17th! Our status went to "Testing & Interview" last week, so I figured we'd be sitting in that step forever - especially bc it looked like the Philly office was running pretty behind. Couldn't be more excited. Yayyyy :)

Thank you for the good news! Happy to hear that atleast you now got a date. I still haven't recieve Any email or hard copy from the mail. But I'm not loosing hope :) keep the faith
