Ah... Te Joan if you have time... Text me..,I'm a pinoy too..

Regarding your concern yes you need a job offer... For the meantime try to look for cash paying jobs... That's what I'm doing now...

Good for you that you can get cash paying job! I wish I can get that for my nursing career. Well hoping for AED soon

If they catch you working for cash without your EAD or Green card your AOS will be denied and you can even get deported!

We are still not 100% admitted in this country until our green card is aproved. Even I think everybody will get it approved , but I wouldn't risk doing anything illegal. EAD takes maximum 90 days, it's overwhelming all this wait but I personally wouldn't risk it

I was suprise to see my SSN in the mail yesterday. I applied 10/27/14 but the lady told me that my info isn't in their system yet and it could take 4weeks for verification with DHS.

I went to DMV today but I was suprise that they didn't ask me for SSN card.

If you live in california, I would advise you not to wait for your SSN before applying for ID or DL.

You can also prepare yourself for the written driving test the same day you apply for DL. I passed my test today and I was given a learner's permit today.

Goodluck to everyone!!!

You are definitely correct that's why my husband says take it easy and don't do illegal unless we are really financially broke and we can't afford to put food on the table. Better to wait to feeling sorry.

Well deport the illegal immigrants first before me Lols...

Yes I am from Philippines and yes they can deport you when they catch you working without Authorization, some employer are weirdos and they will call immigration to report someone just for fun...just be careful.

Ah my case was different from all of you guys... When I entered the country thru JFK airport... My EVerify showed I'm allowed to work and even social security showed "Legal Alien allowed to Work".

When I worked last May I was surprised that I pass the Everify check. I arrived April 19 in JFK and applied for social security a week after my arrival.

When I applied and accepted for a year round job that's the time I learned my status in EVerify expires concurrent with my I94...by the way I was hired September 16, 2014..the everify result were released a week after.

I read some forums and they said that mostly if you arrive in JFK they will stamped a temporary work permit if your a k1 visa holder.
