Mine is 42 days in counting... No reply after expedite request.

Well it would be more harder for us I guess since congress is now republican controlled.

Man .. we are so screwed now that they're in charge :bonk:

ohhhh gosh... finally got my EAD in hand after 22 days of struggling and calling USPS USCIS and reading tons of topics on internet ;)

Congrats !! I'm glad it came back to you eventually .. I know the struggle of trying to communicate with USPS & USCIS so i'm glad it worked out for you :)

I just called USCIS and asked for an EAD/AP expedite due to pending job offer, even though my RFE is still up in the air.

they said I should hear back within 5 days..lets see what they say..

It made me feel good to just do SOMETHING :)

Please don't expect too much on the 5 days... I also requested to expedite my ead two weeks ago..3 hours after I requested to expedite I received an email from USCIS to fax the job offer to which I did in just 30 minutes after receipt of email.

So far it's been 2 weeks now from that day...and just requested for another expedite case and this time around its a tier 2 agent or IO who created the case and again another 5 days wait... So far it's the 2nd day I haven't received anything. To date my ead, ap & GC is 42 days old. initial review and acceptance status respectively.

Yeah I know I don't expect an approval.

If I don't hear back within a week I will contact the congressman. I heard that route is way more successful.

My future boss is not happy about the waiting and I really need the EAD soon.

Good luck to everyone here!!!

ok here's another weird event on our status updates list ... after they received our RFE Response I decided it was a good time to submit a change of address request since we moved 2 weeks ago...

We submitted a change of address request yesterday and now our I485 status was updated from "RFE Response Review" to "Initial Review" with the description being:

"On November 5, 2014, your address was changed relating to the I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS that you filed. Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for live assistance."

Does that sound normal?

... my question really is, is it normal for the status of the application to go back to initial review because of a change of address? :S im confused :/

Mine took 42 days total to have it in hand. Details on the signature below.

Date Day Details

09/11/2014 01 Mailed AOS package

09/15/2014 04 Package Received and signed by the USCIS Chicago office

09/18/2014 07 Received text/email with Receipt numbers

09/19/2014 08 Checks cashed

09/22/2014 11 Received hardcopy NOA1 in the mail

09/26/2014 15 Received Biometrics letter in the mail

10/07/2014 26 Biometrics completed

10/16/2014 35 I765 EAD Application status changed to Card / Document Production

10/20/2014 39 I485 Application status changed to Testing and Interview

10/22/2014 41 EAD mailed out via USPS Priority Mail 2-day

10/23/2014 42 EAD received

10/28/2014 47 Received I485 Notice with Interview date set for 12/11/2014

Wow... that was quick. I am now on Day 40 since I sent out the AOS package. Day 36 since USCIS received the AOS package.

I hope they update it soon. I've been here since March 13. I was able to drive a few times before my I94 expired but my husband was with me all those times. I can't wait to get my driver's license and be able to work. We weren't able to submit the application right away because of financial constraints. We moved to our own apartment after living with the in-laws for less than 2 months. It's hard living on one income especially when we had to start almost from scratch. Cookwares, sofa, tv, washer and dryer etc.

My old boss was offering me and online job (freelance) but I didn't take it coz I didn't want any trouble with the government since it is a gray area issue. I read here in the forum that some work and some don't and I didn't want to take the chance of being reprimanded for working without the EAD especially if I had to go through interview.

I wish... I wish... I wish they would update the EAD/AP soon... like this week. LOL
