I just checked the USCIS website and my EAD has jumped to "My card was ordered to be produced" and AP has been approved! Woohoo I'm so happy!!

If they catch you working for cash without your EAD or Green card your AOS will be denied and you can even get deported! We are still not 100% admitted in this country until our green card is aprove

ohhhh gosh... finally got my EAD in hand after 22 days of struggling and calling USPS USCIS and reading tons of topics on internet ;)

N-400, Naturalization Journey:

Filing date: April 11, 2018

Called NBC today for an expedite EAD so I can start tutoring foreign languages asap. Hopefully I'll hear from them in 5 days. They did say it can take up to 30 days for them to reply but their target is to reply in 5.

Seriously? But, as long as your AOS application is pending you are considered to be in "legal present resident status" in the usa so it shouldn't be a problem :S And even if I didn't have the international driving licence I could use my foreign (cyprus) driving licence in NY state for a year and as long as you have permission to be in the country (in other words be in "legal present resident status")..

Anyways my i94 expires in February.. I should hopefully have my EAD by then (fingers crossed)

You are in a period of authorized stay while your application is pending, you do not become a resident of any kind until you receive your GC

Congrats! It took me about 8 days after my I485 changed to testing and interview to receive the notice in the mail with the interview date.

I hope more people start getting their interview notice soon. Good luck.

Going on about two weeks since my green card went to testing and interview...still have not gotten notice about the interview so...hate to be the eeyore but don't hold your breath. I guess scheduling for some centers goes faster than others. (Yeah yeah 30 day rule before I call uscis blah blah blah...guh. This being on hold is the pits.)

May 29, 2013 - Finally!!! I-129F and associated forms delivered!

June 3, 2013 - NOA1!

August 19, 2013 - NOA2! (email)

October 10, 2013 - NVC has our case, Vancouver number assigned

***Communications with Vancouver begging to put my case on hold a while due to house not selling!!!***

February 18, 2014 - Packet 3 Submitted

February 20, 2014 - Packet 4!!

May 5, 2014 - Medical

May 7, 2014 - Consulate Interview
