I admit. I'm still driving off my alberta (canadian) license. It's not like I'm walking distance to the grocery store...well, I could but it'd take me about an hour to get there and an hour to get back...

It'll be grand when I can finally go for a California license. Will make life easier...I mean there was a brief time I didn't have a car to drive....the one the hubs got for me had to get a vin check and some other tests and emissions before it could get plated (salvage title) so it was either a massive pickup with extended bed and crew cab or a car in great need of a new transmission...and even then it was tricky getting rides places...it's funny friends/family don't really understand...they just think I'm here im legal we're good...NOPE.

May 29, 2013 - Finally!!! I-129F and associated forms delivered!

June 3, 2013 - NOA1!

Oh I read a post last week and someone was saying that MSC used to be Missouri SC but that now they didn't process AOS applications anymore and that it was now Nebraska SC. It might have been wrong! I'm confused now lol  My application is handled at NBC and my case numbers start with MSC too. Thanks for the link! And sorry for giving a wrong info!

Ok that's what my uscis case says "national benefits center" that's why I was asking where you all see the city, because it only shows that to me. But not wrong info don't worry, now we all know it's Missouri :)!

On the issue that most of you guys are facing with not being able to drive, I came here as a tourist with my fiance but I was staying for 2 months and for that reason I made sure I got an international driving licence from Cyprus so that I could drive here. The international licence is valid for a year which is awesome and it only cost me 30 euro (37 dollars).

Once I got here I found out that New York state allows you to drive with a foreign driving licence for up to a year (even if its not an international driving licence :D) so maybe if you guys have your native driving licence you could check with your state to see if you could drive with that one?

Yeah that's right, I think that's why we are so desperate for EAD because it's like the door to freedom, driving.... Be able to investigate around by ourselves while everybody else is working, get busy finding a job... Go buy groceries by ourselves!!! It all sounds like a dream now what normal people can do hahahah

I never had a license in Spain, the internacional thing was smart

Seriously? But, as long as your AOS application is pending you are considered to be in "legal present resident status" in the usa so it shouldn't be a problem :S And even if I didn't have the international driving licence I could use my foreign (cyprus) driving licence in NY state for a year and as long as you have permission to be in the country (in other words be in "legal present resident status")..

Anyways my i94 expires in February.. I should hopefully have my EAD by then (fingers crossed)
