thanx IRIScv. true this waiting is really least of my fav.. its already been 68 days since i filed my papers.. Really praying for good news this week or next week..

anyone here can give me USCIS #, been planning to call them just in case. TIA

Call the USCIS number... As soon as you speak with an agent request to be transferred to tier2... It would be a long wait .. Choose the callback option and USCIS officer will call...no need to stay over the phone...

If your case numbers start with MSC then it's Nebraska Service Center :)

I thought MSC stands for Missouri Service Center (now called National Benefits Center).

My application description and everything says that my application is handled at the National Benefits Center and my applications start with MSC.

I am not sure if this is correct but I found some more info on it since the MSC vs NBC situation is already confusing :P

http://blog.uscis.gov/2012/06/national-benefits-center-what-it-is-and.html

I just spoke with an IO te: expedite request... The officer sent another expedite request and I should receive a reply within 5 days I just hope they will reply

Best of luck! Did you send them any evidence or job offer or did you just speak with them over the phone?

Oh I read a post last week and someone was saying that MSC used to be Missouri SC but that now they didn't process AOS applications anymore and that it was now Nebraska SC. It might have been wrong! I'm confused now lol  My application is handled at NBC and my case numbers start with MSC too. Thanks for the link! And sorry for giving a wrong info!

Gosh, it sounds like everyone on here is really having a crappy downer of a week. It's totally true what someone posted - that we're all doing everything the legal, correct way and still being treated as inferiors compared to the illegal immigrants who the politicians are pandering to and shunting us for.

I know that feeling only too well, of feeling landlocked because you can't work, can't drive, don't have a car. As soon as we landed in Pittsburgh I bought a bicycle and joined the local gym - it's really helped to get me out of the house and focus on something other than this tiresome, endless process. Also, getting a bike has helped me become better acquainted with my new neighborhood and made me aware of what areas are best avoided if I'm by myself, and allows me to do a small grocery run without having to rely on my new relatives or hubby to drive me.

Another thing that's helped me is having my pet rabbit with me. If I didn't have him as the center of my universe (honestly, he's not only my child but my BFF at this point) then I would have signed up at the animal shelter - and I might still sign up as a volunteer. It's true what they say, that being with animals is proven to be both calming and spirit lifting. A few weeks ago I paid a visit to the shelter and even just being there for half an hour made me feel good. I'd definitely recommend signing up as a volunteer - especially seeing as you don't need EA or a Green Card to hug a kitty or shovel dog !

Adjustment of Status, Employment Authorization

Aug 19, 2014 - POE, Los Angeles (USC fiance is travelling with me,

emigrating back to the USA after living in Australia for 11 years.)

Aug 20, 2014 - Married at Beverly Hills Courthouse, the day before

our birthday (yeah, we share the same birthday)

Sep 10, 2014 - AOS, EA package sent to Chicago

Sep 16, 2014 - NOA

Oct 1, 2014 - Received Social Security number

Oct 10, 2014 - biometrics as scheduled, only took about 10 minutes

Oct 27, 2014 - RFE, dammit!

Oct 31, 2014 - Hardcopy RFE arrives

Nov 11, 2014 - RFE response sent

Nov 14, 2014 - RFE response received at MSC

Dec 3, 2014 - Card/document in production!

On the issue that most of you guys are facing with not being able to drive, I came here as a tourist with my fiance but I was staying for 2 months and for that reason I made sure I got an international driving licence from Cyprus so that I could drive here. The international licence is valid for a year which is awesome and it only cost me 30 euro (37 dollars).

Once I got here I found out that New York state allows you to drive with a foreign driving licence for up to a year (even if its not an international driving licence :D) so maybe if you guys have your native driving licence you could check with your state to see if you could drive with that one?
