hi..I just found this group because there´s another september 2014 filers group :) I´ve gotten an RFE on october 24th for further tax info of my co-sponsor and this morning I checked my status and it jumped to RFE again...I´m so so sad. not that I desperately need my EAD, but also my AP, to be able to see my family for my grandmas 90th birthday in december..(flight is already booked because its over x-mas and the prices are horrible).

I guess my chances for an approval before that are pretty bad now :(

Aww sorry to hear miss dynamite. I suggest after you respond to your rfe, you should make an expedite request stating that you have your grandmothers bday to attend and fax copies of flight tickets as evidence. I would think thats a great reason to expedite your ap/ead. It wont hurt to try either.

So, like I think I mentioned before my husband had to leave the first days of October to Asia because his job.

He was supposed to be gone for a month only and come back.

This past week he said he had to stay longer.... and now he says he doesn't know the return date, would come at any moment if I had an interview appointment if not the sooner would be Christmas days :(

He is not planning on moving there, we are NOT moving there, he is staying until everything gets sorted with the company so they don't need him anymore.

He does go to Asia a few times a year also to other countries but it's usually a week and comes back.

Is it going to be a problem for our interview you think guys???? I'm worried everything can get mess up because of this, it wasn't in our agenda when we filled our AOS in September, and I can't go with him or visit because I don't have AP :(

I'm in a house where I can't even go buy food by myself , so overwhelmed right now about this news, but all our money depends on him finishing this business in Asia right now.

I'm sure your worst case scenario would be to reschedule your interview if it comes sooner that you are hoping. It shouldn't be a big deal, especially if they issue your EAD and AP before the interview ;)

Ok so my RFE Response was delivered on Saturday and I haven't heard anything from USCIS and after calling them, a lady told me that "they don't have to update your case to 'RFE Response Review', if they want they can just keep it to 'Request for Evidence' until the day your RFE expires!!

I was gutted! What if my RFE expires and they have not even received my response? How will I know? That's ridiculous.

Anyhow, the Immigration Officer handling our case has indeed (thank god) updated our case today (Tuesday) to "RFE Response Review" so I can now relax..

It really makes no sense to me though that they "dont have to" update your case once they receive your response and, even worse, their call center can really give you NO information AT ALL as to whether they have indeed received your response or not..

Aww so sorry :( I hope it's an easy fix and that you'll get EAD/AP shortly after. Fingers crossed for you!

This is ridiculous! USCIS really is a joke sometimes. At least you know they received it so that's good!

Could be you have a slow office.... :( like us un Atlanta. We are around 4 or 5 couples from this area who sent the forms between August and September and any of us has news since biometrics.

So I feel you.

They say it can take up to 90 days so I wish you get some news this week or next. It really sucks being on this limbo situation
