It doesn't work. I've been trying since 8am and it won't work. I opened a post a couple hours ago and more people said its down.

Maybe they are changing things.... Maybe too many people uses it and the server is down haha.

But it's driving me nuts I need to look at it every morning and before going to sleep.

I check it 10 times a day haha

09/6/2014: AOS/EAD/AP sent (delivered on 09/09/2014)

09/15/2014: NOA1 texts/emails (x3) - Check cashed

09/19/2014: NOA1 hardcopies (x3) received

09/29/2014: Biometrics appointment notice received

10/10/2014: Biometrics

I just checked the USCIS website and my EAD has jumped to "My card was ordered to be produced" and AP has been approved! Woohoo I'm so happy!!

If they catch you working for cash without your EAD or Green card your AOS will be denied and you can even get deported! We are still not 100% admitted in this country until our green card is aprove

I tried checking my case status but looks like the server is down. It just won't load the page. Is anyone else among you facing the same issue?

I've seen other people post that they couldn't log in.... Perhaps they are updating people's case statuses! :star:

AOS:

- 9/15/14 : USCIS received my I-130, I-485, & I-765 applications at the Chicago lockbox. [day 1] NOA txts rec'd 2 days later.
- 9/20/14 : Received 3 NOA receipts in mail saying case was being processed at the NBC [day 5]
- 9/26/14 : Received biometrics appt letter in the mail; appt. set for 10/6/14 at the Nashville office. [day 11]
- 9/30/14 : Successful early walk-in for my biometrics [day 15]
- 11/24/14 : Received email/txt notification that my EAD card is being produced [day 70] :)
- 12/2/14 : Received EAD card [day 78] :thumbs:
- 12/27/14 : Received interview letter in mail :content: [day 103] (Rec'd txt update on 12/29/14)
- 1/28/15 : Interview date! ​(Went w/a lawyer) We were given an approval letter!! :dancing: [day 135]
- 2/2/15 : Received 2 texts:I-485 (Welcome Notice mailed) I-130 (Petition Approved) **SOOO Happppy!!** :D:content::D

Me either... I haven't heard anything since my bios. But on the bright side, could mean that we won't be receiving any RFE'S so that's good..

oh my goodness checking my case status constantly would drive me crazy! LoL I also heard that sometimes USCIS doesn't update some people's case status online, & they just get their notifications in the mail..so I'm on top of the mail lately since I haven't rec'd any notifications online. Hopefully we will be hearing something by the end of the month :clock:

Yes it is nice to be able to drive places & stuff... I have a feeling we'll hear something this month :goofy: I could be on pinterest all day long if I could, if I couldn't leave the house! It's getting so cold here in Tn as well, just bought some work out clothes so that I am able to run outside while it's chilly! Working out helps me take my mind off this waiting lol I hate it when my hubby has to go outta town, ugh! But I have my cats to keep me company when he's gone lol

hi there, how come you already had an ssn number? when you still dont have your EAD? can you share what are the things that you submitted to acquire an ssn? i want to have ssn so i can start applying online.

They can issue SSN, just show your passport, VIsa , I-94 and marriage contract

Can I apply for Social Security Number with my EAD Approval Notice? I still didn't receive my EAD combo card.

I think you can... Your EAD should be in your mailbox soon... But just wait I guess for about 7 days before applying for an SSN... I think there's one member who posted about getting SSN with the new EAD

It's my birthday tomorrow and I hope USCIS will give the best gift ever... My GC and EAD...

If your I94 is expired you won't get an SSN...

Just wait for your EAD because even if you get an SSN it will show "Valid for work with DHS authorization" which is still the same as you can't work.

Just be patient.... Although Im losing patience too with USCIS

USCIS case tracking online is up... Just check it

my I-94 was expired last sept. 26. is it still valid?

I94 expires in 90 days, so you can't ask for SSN number right now, while it's valid you were able to drive etc... But all those things stop after the 90 days.

You were supposed to ask for SSN once you entered the country:

Hello!

You can apply for SS with two forms of government ID, including your passport with your visa in it, and your I-94. I filled out the SS form at home and took my I-94 and ID - plus some additional pieces, like marriage certificate etc, just to be on the safe side - down to my local Social Security and waited in line. I told the lady who served me that I'm a K1 and she played with her computer for a few mins. She then said that while she was unable to verify right then and there if I'd received an SS number or not (I guess I wasn't in the system yet), within four weeks I'd either receive my card in the post or a letter telling me why I was ineligible. Sure enough, about two weeks later I received my card in the post. It's handy because now I've been able to open my own US bank account. So to break it down, you don't need EA to get a social security number, but when you show your SS number to get that job, you must also offer up your EA as proof you're legally allowed to work, as SS alone is not enough.

Also, I suggest that when you go down to the SS office you take a printout of "POM: RM 10211.530 LIST OF DOCUMENTS ESTABLISHING LAWFUL ALIEN STATUS FOR AN SSN CARD" so that if you encounter a public servant who is ignorant or convinced you're ineligible, just show them that list.

Oct 1, 2014 - Received Social Security number

Oct 10, 2014 - biometrics as scheduled, only took about 10 minutes

Oct 27, 2014 - RFE, dammit!

Oct 31, 2014 - Hardcopy RFE arrives

Nov 11, 2014 - RFE response sent

Nov 14, 2014 - RFE response received at MSC

Dec 3, 2014 - Card/document in production!
