So I received the RSE in last night's post - my hunch was correct and hubby does indeed need to file a US tax return for the most recent financial year. As I said, we have an accountant in Sydney who is on it, but we now have to wait until Sunday evening to phone him - due to the time difference - and communicate the importance of him making it happen ASAP so as to not jeopardise my Green Card. I hate being reliant on other people!

Oh that's good you received it! So what does it say exactly? Is it just about the most recent tax return? Well good thing is that your accountant is working on it so the problem can be fixed

From the "delivered" usps status I can see that the post code where they delivered it is 64002 which is the PO Box post code :S The express and priority mail postcode is 64063...

Looks like they delivered it to the PO Box even though I specifically asked them to deliver it to the courier and express address at 64063.. weird :S

Mmm that's weird. I didn't send my RFE response with express and priority mail. Your I-485 status should change to RFE response review on USCIS website on Monday so you will be sure that they have it!

Yeah, the RFE is requesting a tax return for the most recent tax year, then it gives us several pages of frequently asked questions so as to clarify why. I haven't read the RFE paperwork fully yet, due to the fact I had to get into my costume, greet the trick or treaters, then go out into the night and be a Halloween idiot. But according to our Aussie accountant, apparently if you earn below X dollars annually Down Under you're exempt from paying US taxes, so I'm pretty sure we're safe. .

Hello everyone!! I'm so glad I found this forum, for moral support So my situation is not as common as others. I have DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) & I found a few people on other websites that have adjusted status from DACA, but haven't noticed any on here. So I hope my situation helps anyone looking for info. We decided to hire a lawyer since our case is rare...& we found a good one that didn't cost too much.

*Got married in 2011 to the love of my life.

*I was EWI (had entered without inspection- I arrived in the US when I was around 5) & I received DACA in April of 2013. My EAD card is good til April of 2015.

*Having DACA allowed me to apply for Advance Parole, & I applied for it (on my own) on May 2014 to visit an ailing relative & I came back to the USA with advance parole on August of 2014 (When I came back with Advance Parole, I now had a legal entry & could apply for adjustment of status through my USC husband without having to apply for a waiver.)

AOS:

USCIS received my I-130, I-485, & I-765 applications on 9/15/14 at the Chicago lockbox.

*Notice of Action txts/emails rec'd on 9/17/14

*I received 3 Notice of Action receipts from USCIS in the mail on 9/20/14 that my case was being processed at the NBC

*I received biometrics appointment letter in the mail on 9/26/14. The appointment was set for 10/6/14 at the Nashville office.

*I did a successful early walk-in for my biometrics on 9/30/14 since I was gonna be out of town on the 6th & wanted to avoid rescheduling

(The security guy wasn't nice about the fact that I had came in before my appointment. There was like 2 people waiting so they weren't busy & they squeezed me in. I'm sure if it had been busier I would've had to leave & come back on my appointment date. I was out of there in less than 20 mins.)

I am so anxious for my interview date. This waiting game is no fun at ALL!! I try to be patient & don't check my case status often..b/c for me it makes the time pass by slower. I check it just enough, like once a week, so that my account doesn't get suspended from inactivity because that's happened like twice & had to reset my password lol! I work from home w/hubby & when I'm not helping him, I try to keep my mind busy by working out/cleaning, & looking forward to other things (like the holidays) helps the time pass. Not to mention my fav. shows are airing currently, so that helps time go by fast! Best of luck to everyone!

It doesn't work. I've been trying since 8am and it won't work. I opened a post a couple hours ago and more people said its down.

Maybe they are changing things.... Maybe too many people uses it and the server is down haha.

But it's driving me nuts I need to look at it every morning and before going to sleep.

I would say you need the card. But it's just my thought, maybe someone else can say better
