Thank you. No the online status still says "...ready for interview scheduling. When scheduling is complete, you will receive a notice with a time and place for your interview...", so it was really a surprise. :D

Did ur EAD status change to production or was it also a surprise?

09/6/2014: AOS/EAD/AP sent (delivered on 09/09/2014)

09/15/2014: NOA1 texts/emails (x3) - Check cashed

09/19/2014: NOA1 hardcopies (x3) received

09/29/2014: Biometrics appointment notice received

10/10/2014: Biometrics

10/27/2014: I 485 Changed to Testing and Interview

11/04/2014: EAD Production

11/12/2014: EAD Delivered

I just checked the USCIS website and my EAD has jumped to "My card was ordered to be produced" and AP has been approved! Woohoo I'm so happy!!

If they catch you working for cash without your EAD or Green card your AOS will be denied and you can even get deported! We are still not 100% admitted in this country until our green card is aprove

was your EAD status changed to card production or was it also a surprise?

The EAD changed to card production on the 16th and after a few days they updated the details with the USPS tracking number, etc, so I knew it was on it's way.

12/11/2014 91 Interview date - AOS approved on the spot after 91 days from mailing the AOS package. :dancing:

12/19/2014 99 Received Green Card in the mail.

Il wait till 1 am today to check if there's a new update on my case..

This experience is causing stress... After we get our EAD and GC... The next question is Where we will apply for work? Or is there a work available for us? I also read in the news that about 1.6 million immigrants will get a legal status after election thru executive order... If it's true it will be so unfair for us who waited in line and endure the agony and worst we will have to compete with them on jobs.

I got the notification from the uscis this morning. says that my EAD is mailed. Need I pick it up or it's gonna be in my mailbox?

09/17: Sent AOS package to Chicago (Day 00)

09/23: Got acceptance. (Day 06)

09/27: NOA1 received. (Day 10)

10/06: Got biometrics letter. (Day 19)

10/17: Biometrics done! (Day 30)

10/22: I485 was changed to Testing& Itvw

I765 Card Production. (Day 35)

10/23: I765 Card production(again). (Day 36)

10/29: Received EAD card. (Day 42)

Good surprise. :dancing: I received I485 Notice in the mail today with Interview date set for 12/11/2014. More than a month ahead, but it's moving along.

I hope everyone receives good news soon too!!!

Well goodluck to all of us... After all the hard worked and stress to be legal in the U.S...after midterm elections illegal immigrants according to news reports can apply for legal work permit...

Hshaha if this will happen it would an insult to us who endure and waited patiently.

Sorry for the late response, well here it goes.

Last 10/3 I got RFE about lacking 1040 form of my wife and as soon as I got the form I mailed it to the designated address as well with a cover letter, that was 10/11 and then I got a status update about I-485 10/16. Just 10/18 I tried requesting the good office of the congresswoman of my district to help me expedite my EAD via Job letter offer and the assistant told me to go at their office and fill out a form(It's just some information about yourself and the assistance you are seeking) and bring an ID and my pertinent documents about the expedite. The representative of congresswoman talked to me regarding the expedite of my EAD and she told me that she will do what she can to assist me about this matter, she doesn't guarantee me that It will be approve. Well just last 10/24 my EAD case status got updated from "Initial Review" to "Card/Document production", then 10/26 the case status reverted to "Post Decision Activity" it took 50 days to get approve I guess the negotiation with the congresswoman helped and I thank God first for everything, based on what I've read in some articles of VJ regarding the revert of case status it's just normal read this EAD. 10/27 my AOS case status got updated from "RFE Response Review" to "Testing and Interview".

Recent....7th job offer.....declined...employer hired another employee....
