I just checked the USCIS website and my EAD has jumped to "My card was ordered to be produced" and AP has been approved! Woohoo I'm so happy!!

If they catch you working for cash without your EAD or Green card your AOS will be denied and you can even get deported! We are still not 100% admitted in this country until our green card is aprove

Received EAD Combo card... It goes faster than I thought...

Finally mailed my RFE response this morning (after 1 month!). Should be delivered on Monday. Hopefully what I sent is enough for USCIS! Now waiting on some update for EAD/AP! :rolleyes:

What's the reason of RFE?

Affidavit of support and 2013 tax return. My husband just started working in May (didn't file taxes in 2013 cause his income was 0) and even though his income is above the requirements, they asked us to use assets and/or find a joint sponsor. So we asked a friend of mine to be my joint sponsor. And I rewrote a statement explaining why my husband didn't file 2013 taxes, including proofs that he was a student with no income.

N-400:

08/22/2020: filed online/NOA1

09/04/2020: biometric reuse notice
07/07/2021: interview scheduled

08/11/2021: interview —> approved/oath scheduled 

08/26/2021: oath ceremony 🇺🇸

 

Passport:

09/08/2021: application mailed (routine service)

09/14/2021: application received (locator #74)

10/23/2021: passport book received

10/29/2021: naturalization certificate received

Oh sent my AOS September 24...biometrics Oct 20...if only I knew I could walk in early...

Waiting for EAD...I can wait for my GC but if they can release it earlier much better

Well yeah right...

You can't drive until you get your GC...I don't think DMV will give you a DL with only an EAD... Not that surr

There was another Canadian/Californian who said the dmv told her ead. Of course this is the dmv and the story may change....
