Yes!!!! :) What is next??? besides getting EAD/AP. Interview letter????

Keep checking your case status on USCIS website to see any update. Some people get interview letter before EAD/AP gets approved. For other people it takes a little longer before they hear about the interview. And apparently if you get an interview waiver letter it takes even longer to get the green card! As long as I have EAD/AP I'll be happy though! Gotta answer my RFE first

I just checked USCIS and everything is exactly the same, all initial review except I-485 still in acceptance....

I totally feel the same way once I get the EAD/AP I don't care if the GC takes 2 months or 6. I just want to work and drive :) I'm tired of this "vacacions" lol I need to feel useful :)

I really hope you find a way to fix your RFE!!!!

Can't wait to be able to work, get my license again and be busy!!

I called USCIS Customer Service Center twice. First time the lady told us to get a lawyer (uh no!! not gonna happen!) and second time we were able to talk to an Immigration Service Officer who told us that we got the RFE because my husband hasn't been working long enough. So I'm now trying to get in touch with the person who was my co-sponsor for my K-1. I'm so nervous!!!

Lawyers are crazy expensive in this country! I would try to avoid them too.

Did the second person you called say for how long your husband should work for his employment letter to be accepted by USCIS??? ( in some bad case of no finding a co-sponsor in any ways... ) I would be nervous too, that doesn't help and better not be worried but I totally understand you feeling this way. All this immigration process is so stressful.

I still say to my husband what if they ask something weird and we don't pass the interview what if they want more proof from us!!! And he is so calm "we have been together for 5 years who won't believe it!!!"

It's ridiculous we need so much proof, and paperwork and hard work to be together! At least you will receive your EAD while you can fix this RFE

Yes we definitely cannot afford a lawyer! That is not an option! Unless I would have like trouble with the law or something. But that's not the case!

The Immigration Service Officer told us that it's because his actual annual income doesn't show up on his most recent tax return (well of course he didn't even file one!). She said that if we can't find a joint sponsor, we can always try to send a letter from his employer. I would be so nervous to do that though because it's not an option on the RFE. Hopefully we can have a joint sponsor! Just sent him an email.

My husband is usually calm too but since we got the RFE, he's as nervous as I am lol!!

Yes 5 years you guys should have plenty of proofs so no need to worry! Even though I'm a worrier myself! I always have to think about the worst thing that could happen!

Hey guys, random question, does anybody have any experience with requesting a last name change with the social security administration? My wife wants to change her last name but from what I've seen they are requesting certified copies of our marriage certificate and stuff. A copy from the NYC City Clerk costs 15 dollars and then again I am not sure if they need certified copies of her passport too or what?

Could I just go there in person and show them our original marriage certificate? :S

Biometrics done today @ Norridge, IL (Chicago area). Appointment was at 2pm, got there around noon because I was driving on my own and wasn't sure how long it would take - didn't seem to matter because I was just ushered next in line and was out by 12:30ish.

Does she already have a SSN in her maiden name?

Marriage certif will most likely need to be of the certified variety ... gotta love how it costs money to print off a "official" piece of paper. :P Probably handy to have a certified copy on hand anyways!
