so as of tonight uscis.gov says that my welcome noticed has been mailed to my address and my green card has been registered and it will be receive on April 5, but i guess it will be arriving sooner that this date.

and here's some of the questions i remember, although the interviewer is pretty nice and we just have a normal conversation.

we both asked the names of our parents and sibling

name and birthdate of my husband children

how, when and where did we meet

when we got married

how man times he visited me in the PHILIPPINES

how many people living in our house right now

he ask for joint account, insurances, pictures and anything thats both on our names.

our home address and telephone

how long is my husbands business

what is the nature of his business

my husband's b-day and place of birth

asked about our vacation and travel

its more on a usual conversation and the trick is not show you are nervous and just make sure you guys really know each other.

Guys good luck and you can do it with God's prayer and faith!

Congrats on getting your GC approved!!! Enjoy! And thanks a lot for sharing your interview experience! Can't wait for mine in 2 and a half weeks!

I don't understand why it's taking so long for me to get an interview or hear something from USCIS. I notice that some who are close to my filing date or some even later already went through their interview, and for some already have their green card. I don't understand.

Everytime I call USCIS, they tell me it's within normal processing times but how come some of you guys are moving forward and I'm still stuck? :(

Is there a different number that I need to call?

The time it takes for an interview all depends on where u live- your local office schedules the interviews. I've seen ppl get their interviews in 9 months, others in as little as 3 months. I know waiting to hear from Uscis is so stressful... what you can do is check the Uscis processing times here:

https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplayInit.do

Find your local office & then click on the Uscis field office processing dates button.

I believe Chicago, IL is taking anywhere from 7-9 months in scheduling for interviews... I think once you reach the point where it's longer than what it says on their website, call them again. Keep your head up! I hope the processing times chart helps!

I agree with you completely. We are in the same boat. I'm going to go out on a limb here and share my real rant. There are a few adjusting from K1 who are getting their interviews already but they are few and they happen to live in areas that are processing quicker. What is really making me super annoyed are all these people who are adjusting from B1B2 visas and they are getting interviews well before even their office estimates, while K1ers in their area are still waiting around for their interview.

I was told clear as day by many people including my congresswoman's office when we were working on my husbands B1B2 long before we filed K1, that we CANNOT get married while he is here visiting. That is fraudulent and USCIS does not look kindly on that. Where the hell is the proof of that? All I have gotten is an extra year of processing for the K1 just trying to follow the rules, while others just ignored the advice and married on B1B2, and now they are done with this whole AOS process.

So much for trying to do things the right way.

You say this like its a hard and fast rule.....while your case was completed a month-ish before the stated timeframe for your local office. I'm sorry, but its easy to be chipper when you are ahead of the curve. Its annoying for those of us actually in the normal curve or even behind it.
