got a letter today from uscis stating that i need to complete I-693. from what i read in uscis website i dont need to complete the said form because i came in the states thru K1 visa and i already have all the vaccinations needed before i left philippines. i guess i just have to do it so i can have the green card. I called a lot of civil surgeons and they charge bigtime. Ive read a thread here in VJ about cheap CS and im glad there is one here in san jose.

I just checked the USCIS website and my EAD has jumped to "My card was ordered to be produced" and AP has been approved! Woohoo I'm so happy!!

If they catch you working for cash without your EAD or Green card your AOS will be denied and you can even get deported! We are still not 100% admitted in this country until our green card is aprove

Aww jhoanrob. Did the letter specify what was missing? If not it means your medical from the K1 wasn't forwarded to your local uscis office. That's not fair. Well, your antibody titres should be fine since you got your vaccines already. Hope you find an affordable civil surgeon.

i think its because the flu vaccine section wasnt marked, that is probably the reason why i need to get the form but i am not sure so i guess i just have to do it. Most of the doctors i called they charge 150-170 usd just for them to sign the form excluding the vaccine. I am happy that VJ has a list of cheap CS and one of them is here in San Jose

Hi, guys!

I'd really appreciate your help with this. I have my GC interview on Feb 25. My US Spouse has a Romanian Birth Certificate. Does his certificate need to be legalized with an apostille for the interview? The languages on the certificate are Romanian, English and French so it does not require translation.

so i got my interview today @ 8:30 am and as of 6:00pm tonight my case @ uscis.gov says my card is being produced...does it means we got approved? :idea::goofy::goofy::goofy:

i will post my interview question later tomorrow and GOOD LUCK TO ALL!

I don't know why mine doesn't have any update yet. I am worried because I saw some of you that has the same timeline with me has been scheduled for an interview already. I haven't got any schedule yet. Should I call them or just wait? :(

@ anapetcu your US citizen's spouse proof of citizenship is what they are interested in - US Passport or Naturalization Certificate. His birth certificate isn't important to your application (it was important to HIS immigration journey); sure have a copy of it like you did in your original application but no need to legalize it.

I just had my interview this morning and it went well. The IO did not smile and seemed like a "strictly-by-the-books" man. He said we should hear from uscis within 90 days though it could be less. My husband pushed for a more definite time and he said possibly Friday as he has interviews all day long today and needs to review our paperwork.

I see you are in Orlando as well...we have similar filing dates and I just got my notice of interview yesterday, so you shouldn't be too far behind me. Depends how long of a delay the RFE caused.

I'm from Illinois, I applied first week of december for my SSN, but until now my card is still not deliver. Unfortunately my state is kinda slow in terms of SSN. :(

So sad, coz I need to get my SSN first before I can open a bank account, verified my paypal or even get the drivers license. I feel like, what is the purpose of the EAD you know, if I will be waiting anyway for my SSN this long. Like you kababayan I just applied for EAD, now I wish I applied for the AP also, atleast I could go home and see my family. That's what I am trying to do, I am looking for a possible jobs that will keep my mind out of thinking the AOS, but they all need SSN even online jobs. geezzzz. But thank you so much for the input kababayan. I truly appreciate you for answering and giving me details about the processing. :luv:

1. apply in visa name or married name? if married name, you have huge problem now.

2. you should have gone back next day to ssa office, get the number or learn of new problems.

Anybody here tried the e-request inquiry of the USCIS website? I want to send them an e-request but I don't know if that will messed up my papers or something. Anyway I've done my bio metrics last october 17, but my status in their website is still stuck saying "On September 22, 2014, we accepted the fingerprint fee for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status"

I am getting frustrated, because they send my EAD first but I can't use it yet, because I applied for SSN and even my SSN is taking forever to arrive :( so if anybody knows if it is okay to use the e-request I would truly appreciate it. I just want some answers from them, at least let me know whats wrong with it or what.

since you now have the ead card,

go back to ssa office,

and re-apply for ssn, using the name in the ead card.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Hello everyone, my husband and I have received our notice for our interview. The list of things you have to bring with you is unbelievable (haven't we already handed this stuff in more than once???) My question is what did everyone bring with them? Some of the items say "unless already submitted" which I feel is pretty much everything!

We haven't updated in a while, but we just had our AOS interview in Phoenix and we are approved. As we left the building we received the notice that our card was in production.

The interview was relaxed and not stressful at all. The IO was very friendly and we chatted about many things while he processed the paperwork.

Good luck to everyone else who is waiting for their interviews!

Yes, I'm also from Orlando. I'm very worried though. I'm trying to be patient but I don't understand why the waiting for the decision is taking so long. :( I hope I can get any update soon too.

Hi Nikki, I had my interview today and took originals of documents I sent in earlier. I did not make or take a copy of the forms or the affidavit of support. The new items I had were: 10 pictures (a collage of 3 pics in 1), my most recent bank statement as well as our joint utility bills which I never submitted. The IO only took the utility bill and a print out of my I-94!

Take what you feel comfortable with, no point going with a huge file that probably won't be viewed.
