New to the forum here, just wanted to say hi! We sent our packet September 17th, got approved for EAD/AP on November 25th.. Now we're hoping to get an interview scheduled soon. How long is everyone (realistically) expecting to wait for interview/waiver?

It really depends on the USCIS office who is processing your case. California is processing faster compared to others but no one can really tell. There's one member in here who was scheduled after 2 months of filing and some also waited for 6 months. In my case I received an interview waiver so its a waiting game again.

Do you guys think instead of printing pictures showing them from an iphone or iPad is a bad idea?????

I remember for biometrics they don't allow you to bring your purse, phone etc inside so I'm wondering about that.

I was going to use the iPhone App free prints, you can print 80 pictures for free every month just paying for shipping, I had already over 120 selected and when I went to order them today I realized they won't be on time for next week since its 7 BUSINESS day.....

Has anyone done it or eveybody brings them in paper???

Welcome! there is no way to aprox know a date with uscis.... If you came with K-1 visa there is a chance you may have interview waiver and that could take even longer... Take a look around looking for people in your same area/office and you could get some ideas about how long others have waited but really there is no way to know.

We sent our papers september 12 and our interview is next week, but we live in Georgia.

Your photo idea may not work out IRIScv as your phone is expected to be switched off while in the USCIS building. Also, the IOS may want to keep copies of your pictures, then what will you do?

Better option, make a collage of pictures unto 1 photo and print out a couple of you with family and friends. At Walgreens a 4x6 photo costs 39c. I made 6 of those already and will take my wedding albums along for viewing.

hi people.. i just want to know some insights. My interview will be on January 29 and I am planning to see my family in California after my interview for a couple of months.

My question is, would you guys think USCIS people will be needing my appearance again after my interview? because i don't want to travel all the way from California to Ohio. If there are needed documents after the interview i can just submit it thru mail right?

My husband will be staying in Ohio while i am with my family. So he cannot miss any mail from USCIS

what you guys think?

Travelling in-country shouldn't be a problem, even if your presence is needed at your local uscis office you'd have some fair notice say 2 weeks or more to attend that. A request for more documents after an interview usually have a time limit of 30 days to send them in. You'll be fine.

No electronics is allowed inside the USCIS office,,, so tchnically u cant bring your iphone or ipad. It would be better to take printed picture because some IO take pictures from you. Mine the IO almost took all pictures from my photo album. You can go to Walmart, CVS, target or Walgreen to print your pictures will only take you an hour to print it.

We just called USCIS to ask why we have not gotten our interview date for our i485 interview, and the woman told us that there is no "timeframe" for them to have it done by and they are working on cases in Mid-June. When we asked, well what are we to do about getting the stamp so he can start driving to work, she stated that there is no longer a Nashville office and that basically we can drive to Memphis (which is 3hrs away) and sweet talk them into trying to get one. I don't feel like any of what she's saying is true based off what I've read online and on here. What do you all think?
