Congrats to everyone on getting interviews and their EAD/AP cards! My husband and I haven't heard anything at all, no EAD/AP or AOS updates! They haven't answered the inquiry (which said I would hear something by the 1st) and our case for AOS says it will be updated or accepted by tomorrow (Jan. 6th)...hoping to hear something today but I doubt it. Our K1 process was so quick with no problems at all and this one has just been terrible. I feel helpless. My husband wants to feel like he has a normal life and start working and be able to drive!! I feel so bad for him! :cry:

K-1 Visa Process

02/03/14 - Sent in I-129F

02/18/14 - NOA 1

04/08/14 - NOA 2

06/23/14 - Interview

07/03/14 - Ben arrived in Detroit!!! :):dancing:

07/26/14 - WE GOT MARRIED :wub::dance:

Adjustment of Status

09/05/14 - Sent in for AOS/EAD/AP

09/09/14 - Case was received

09/25/14 - Biometrics done (early walk-in)

09/26/14 - RFE (needed additional tax documentation and Affidavit of Support issues) :ranting:

11/04/14 - Sent RFE response

11/07/14 - Received RFE reponse (RFE Response Review)

12/10/14- Put in an Inquiry about my case (Says we should hear from them by January 1st)

01/06/15 - Called USCIS inquiring about my case

01/09/15 - Received text/email alerts saying my husband's EAD/AP card has been ordered! YAYYYYY! :dancing:

01/12/15 - Received second email/text saying his EAD/AP card is being produced!

01/16/15 - Received email/text that EAD/AP card was mailed and was given tracking number

01/17/15 - EAD/AP card in hand!

01/29/15 - Received notification that our Interview has been scheduled for Mar. 3rd!

I just checked the USCIS website and my EAD has jumped to "My card was ordered to be produced" and AP has been approved! Woohoo I'm so happy!!

If they catch you working for cash without your EAD or Green card your AOS will be denied and you can even get deported! We are still not 100% admitted in this country until our green card is aprove

Just got the notice of potential interview waiver in the mail today. It's not really a surprise but I'm not thrilled about it because of the long wait :(

- 9/15/14 : USCIS received my I-130, I-485, & I-765 applications at the Chicago lockbox. [day 1] NOA txts rec'd 2 days later.
- 9/20/14 : Received 3 NOA receipts in mail saying case was being processed at the NBC [day 5]
- 9/26/14 : Received biometrics appt letter in the mail; appt. set for 10/6/14 at the Nashville office. [day 11]
- 9/30/14 : Successful early walk-in for my biometrics [day 15]
- 11/24/14 : Received email/txt notification that my EAD card is being produced [day 70] :)
- 12/2/14 : Received EAD card [day 78] :thumbs:
- 12/27/14 : Received interview letter in mail :content: [day 103] (Rec'd txt update on 12/29/14)
- 1/28/15 : Interview date! ​(Went w/a lawyer) We were given an approval letter!! :dancing: [day 135]

We are in the same boat. It's so hard to leave my husband at home when I go to work because I just want him to have that normalcy too. Such a helpless feeling. I am positivethings will get better soon! :)

Hey guys, Congrats to everyone getting interviews and my sympathy to all those who are still waiting for their EADs .. I know how horrible it is :/

Random question to people who came here on a tourist visas and then applied for adjustment of status and missed their flights (Iris for example):

Have you guys checked your travel history on DHS.gov? They provide electronic i94 forms so I wanted to print a copy of my i94 for when I entered the country in August and when I checked my travel history the thing shows that I have departed NYC on octomber 24 :S That was my return flight but I never boarded the plane so it shouldn't show that I have departed right ? Wth :S Thank god it didn't cancel my green card application etc. My EAD/AP were issued on December 3.

9/19/2014: AOS Package (i130, i485, i765 and i131) sent to Chicago lockbox using USPS Certified mail

12/3/2014: EAD and Advanced Parole in Production :dancing:

12/12/2014: EAD/AP Card received

1/23/2015: Interview is Scheduled for February 27!

1/28/2015: Interview Letter Received

3/10/2015: Greencard Received

 

12/3/2016: Filed i751 at California Service Center

 

12/4/2016: Filed N400 - Dallas TX

 

2/18/2018: i751 Case transferred to Local Office

2/26/2018: i751 Case received at Local Office

1/5/2018: i751 Case Transferred And New Office Has Jurisdiction

3/5/2018: Another update saying i751 Case Transferred And New Office Has Jurisdiction

5/7/2018: Received Letter stating i751 Case transferred to National Benefits Center, Lee's Summit, MO 64064

5/30/2018: Interview scheduled for N400

7/11/2018: Attended interview and was informed it will be a combo N400/I751 interview

8/6/2018: N400 Approved

8/7/2018: I751 Approved

9/5/2018: Oath Ceremony missed due to travel abroad and letter sent to USCIS to reschedule ceremony

10/2/2018: Officially a US Citizen!

Mine says I left the country in July. Apparently it happens to everybody that has a flight to go back home but they know you are here so I was told to not worry about it, I've seen people asking about it in the forum a few times so I realized it was the normal thing for the people who wasn't supposed to stay :)

The moment you purchase a ticket the company sends that info to homeland security so automatically after the "departure" day they update your I-94 with the aiport name and date you were suppose to be leaving the country
