September 2014 AOS Filers

Hi everyone...Ok quick question. My husband got his biometrics letter in the mail today for September 30th. Now that's wonderful, but my daughter had a field trip that day that we both committed to chaperone for. His appointment is at 8:30 and we are supposed to be at her school at 8:45...I was reading about people going earlier than the date of the appointment. I was wondering if that works or not? Just not quite sure what to do. Any advice is much appreciated! Thanks!

Every office is different. Some allow it some don't, they allowed it at my local office. Just try to walk in with the letter and see what they say. I believe there's a thread here that consists of different local offices and whether or not people have been successful with early biometrics at various local offices. I can't remember the name of it so I hope someone chimes in with the link

We have the exact same dates for everything so far! Just received mine in the mail as well. Hopefully it keeps moving this quickly!

I got my NOA in the mail today as well.

On September 22, 2014, your fingerprint fee was accepted and we have mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. Your case is being processed at our NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER location. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you.....is this supposed to be good news or bad?? i havent received anything from them since i sent my package on september 3rd. They also sent a text message that official receipt notice form 1-797 will follow in the mail.

I think that means they sent it to California and you may not need an interview it happens to many K-1

Random question,

My AOS package is supposed to be delivered today by USPS and I can see on their tracking page that it has left the Chicago USPS facility at 7:35 in the morning. Judging from the zip code, this facility is like 3 blocks away from USCIS South Dearborn lockbox so it should be delivered by now.

Does anyone know if the delivery notification from USPS comes immediately when they deliver the package or if it will come later tonight even if it was delivered in the morning?

Then I looked again same Monday around 8pm and it said delivered already!!!

Mine actually says expected delivery "Monday 22, 2014" which was yesterday but in the tracking history I can see that it left the chicago usps depot this morning I just hope it gets delivered today because the longer it takes USPS to deliver it the longer it will take until USCIS processes everything :/

Haha I was feeling the same exact way I just wanted it to be on someone's hands in uscis to feel safe, lol

We sent it a Friday and I remember Sunday it already said ready to deliver next Monday and it took them all day long to make an update. I hope you have some news by the end of the day
