My poor husband is all upset because his Australian drivers license expires tomorrow and we have to have the I-551 stamp before he can get one in Tennessee. He's, also, freaking out because our I485 still shows "On September 15, 2014, we accepted the fingerprint fee for your Form I-485," blah blah. Any tips on if there's something I should do now? We're having to send his EAD back since it's got the wrong bday on it, they did email us about it on Dec 13th.

I live in AZ and you are required to have a SSN in order to get a DL. After waiting and waiting for my EAD from immigration I called up DMV (pretty ticked) and asked why should I be penalized because immigration is backlogged (also mentioned that I was here LEGALLY and had done everything asked by immigration).

They told me to go to the DMV and "do a walk in appointment and speak to a Supervisor". I had to bring all my paperwork (797 showing I filed for AOS etc, along with Alien & Departure numbers). The supervisor issued me a temporary (2 year) DL. I had to pass the written test and I was out the door in 2.5 hours. I also showed them the 797 showing that biometrics had been done (stamped). Maybe worth a trip down to speak to a supervisor!

I just checked the USCIS website and my EAD has jumped to "My card was ordered to be produced" and AP has been approved! Woohoo I'm so happy!!

If they catch you working for cash without your EAD or Green card your AOS will be denied and you can even get deported! We are still not 100% admitted in this country until our green card is aprove

Guys, I got a little surprise in the mail today... I got my interview letter for Jan. 28! A great Christmas present! :dancing:God is good!!

I didn't receive any email/txt notifications & my I-485 still says Fingerprint Fee Received on the USCIS website.

(L) Got married in 2011 (L)

AOS:

- 9/15/14 : USCIS received my I-130, I-485, & I-765 applications at the Chicago lockbox. [day 1] NOA txts rec'd 2 days later.
- 9/20/14 : Received 3 NOA receipts in mail saying case was being processed at the NBC [day 5]
- 9/26/14 : Received biometrics appt letter in the mail; appt. set for 10/6/14 at the Nashville office. [day 11]
- 9/30/14 : Successful early walk-in for my biometrics [day 15]
- 11/24/14 : Received email/txt notification that my EAD card is being produced [day 70] :)
- 12/2/14 : Received EAD card [day 78] :thumbs:
- 12/27/14 : Received interview letter in mail :content: [day 103] (Rec'd txt update on 12/29/14)
- 1/28/15 : Interview date! ​(Went w/a lawyer) We were given an approval letter!! :dancing: [day 135]
- 2/2/15 : Received 2 texts:I-485 (Welcome Notice mailed) I-130 (Petition Approved) **SOOO Happppy!!** :D:content::D
- 2/4/15 : Notified that GC was mailed, card received on 2/5/15!! [day 143] *So Blessed!* :):content::star::D

03/20/2014 - got approved (NOA2) yey!

05-20-2014 - Interview

05-23-2014 - CEAC status : From AP to Issued! (Thank God!)

02-10-15 - submitted form I-693

02-12-15 - Card in production (thank God!)

Any September filers still without their EAD/GC??? This is crazy how long it is taking.

For New Yr's, we'll probably spend time with my hubby's family & celebrate at their house, we're def. avoiding the downtown area LoL It gets crazy down there! Not to mention too many drunk drivers....

We have our first NOA for AOS dated September 5th. Biometrics completed on Sept 30. EAD/AP card received Oct 16.....nothing after that. No RFEs, no nothing. Any ideas where we may be in the AOS process?

I'm sure there is someone that has the same-ish dates but there are tons of comments in this thread. :)

You can never really know :) your EAD went really fast!

I had biometrics same day as you ( it was Walk-in ) but my EAD took longer and then and update about interview came very fast after EAD.

Thanks IRIScv. My husband did get his EAD very quickly, so I was hopeful that the AOS would be swift. Wishful thinking. I really hope we do get an interview notice soon since it seems that those interviewed actually get the approval quicker. The case status online is being a little weird for us. We changed our address on Oct 5th and the status updated to that, then a few weeks later seems to have gone backwards in time back to the " we have received your fingerprint fee" message. I'm hoping they still have our new address and everything is fine. We should call I suppose and just check.

Great news though that you got an interview next month!

04/08/14 - NOA 2

06/23/14 - Interview

07/03/14 - Ben arrived in Detroit!!! :):dancing:

09/05/14 - Sent in for AOS/EAD/AP

09/09/14 - Case was received

09/25/14 - Biometrics done (early walk-in)

09/26/14 - RFE (needed additional tax documentation and Affidavit of Support issues) :ranting:

11/04/14 - Sent RFE response

11/07/14 - Received RFE reponse (RFE Response Review)

12/10/14- Put in an Inquiry about my case (Says we should hear from them by January 1st)

01/06/15 - Called USCIS inquiring about my case

01/09/15 - Received text/email alerts saying my husband's EAD/AP card has been ordered! YAYYYYY! :dancing:

01/12/15 - Received second email/text saying his EAD/AP card is being produced!

01/16/15 - Received email/text that EAD/AP card was mailed and was given tracking number

01/17/15 - EAD/AP card in hand!

01/29/15 - Received notification that our Interview has been scheduled for Mar. 3rd!
