I-864 self-employed living abroad

I'm still really lost on whether or not to take on a joint sponsor and hoping someone in here is in a similar situation.

My situation:

- I am USC, self-employed making above the poverty guidelines.
- I work online with clients in US/Canada, so this work will continue just the same when I move to the US.
- I've lived abroad the past 6 years and take the Foreign Income Tax exclusion so I'm not double taxed in 2 countries. So my 1040 line 22, is $0 as 100% of my income is excluded from being taxed in the US, although that income will continue and was mainly from US sources.

- I still live abroad, but am aware of the proof I need to give to show I'm re-establishing domicile.

This all means that on the I-864, my last 3 year tax transcripts I have to put $0 US taxable income. I can put current year income which will be above poverty guidelines, but will having $0 in the previous years be a problem? Would adding a cover letter explaining the foreign earned tax exclusion and that the income will continue even after I move back to the US be enough?

For current income, I have about 60 invoices to show as proof of that, would that be ok? Otherwise as I don't have pay stubs or a boss to write me a letter, my only other proof is Paypal/Bank statements.

I can get a joint sponsor but I really don't want to as I already get so nervous filling out the I-864 for myself, I don't want to have to worry about making mistakes on it for 2 other people as well.

Anyone self-employed abroad and have any advice?
