Hey all, just wanted to share the happy news that I just got my driver's license yesterday! It was my first try, too! It was SO nerve-wracking! We practiced an hour before I took the test and I was so nervous that even my husband wasn't expecting me to pass. He told me, "just be careful you don't wreck the car" LOL. The driving test was about 15 mins and I got a few mistakes here and there, but I passed! To all of you out there who are nervous about getting your license, don't fret and just keep practicing. Keep reading your dmv handbook and don't feel bad when your spouse/family criticizes your driving skills! They're really just scared for you and want you to be safe. Try to practice in an area near the DMV office where you'll take your test (you can pick any DMV in your state so pick one that has an easy driving route, that way the test won't be as hard). Keep calm and just drive! It's easier when your nerves are not trying to mess with your driving ;) And memorize the right of way rules!!!

Congrats! I'm still practicing night time driving. Did you have to drive on the highway during the test? I can only practice driving whenever we visit my inlaws. My driver's permit is in Missouri and we just moved out to Kansas and I am already used to driving around in the Missouri area we lived at before. So here's hoping I pass the driving test too when the time comes. :)

Congrats! My esposo just got his this week as well. The driving part wasn't hard for him, he almost failed the written portion!

July 1: INTERVIEW!!! - APPROVED!
July 16: POE through Miami
July 22: SSN card in the mail
August 30, 2014: Green card arrives in the mail!!!

April 27, 2016: Sent 300 page ROC packet to VSC via overnight mail
May 16: Check shown as charged online, received NOA 1 dated April 29
June 20, 2016- Biometrics
April 28, 2017: Approval
May 4, 2017: Approval letter arrived
May 15, 2017: GC arrives in mail

May 12: NOA 1, Credit card charged

Oct 2: Interview letter arrives (online status still says ''in line'')
