Did you enter it into the ceac website? https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=o/iS8zDpeAKjMWCuebHqOw==

You can track your case there. It should go from "In transit" to "Ready" within a week or so depending on where it's going.

Now is a good time for the beneficiary to start gathering their supporting materials for the interview.

Can someone please guide me what to do after got the case number?

Following through Nitsirk and A&B's advice, when your case status says Ready, the beneficiary can then proceed to following the embassy's instructions.

If the beneficiary is going through the Mumbai consulate as indicated in your timeline:

We are waiting until we hear from the Mumbai consulate. They'll send an email, probably in a week or two. I'd say the most important thing to start is the PCC since that can take a month.

When should i fill ds-160 online? Now or should i wait for hardcopy to arrive from NVC?

Sure. We are currently waiting for notice from the consulate. My fiancé is getting his address verification for the PCC, he is also getting an affadavit from his mother to go with his birth certificate (it doesn't have a seal). I'm gathering my tax information, pay stubs, and letter from my employer to send to him. He already has my I-134 from my last trip to India. Looks like there's one medical office in Mumbai that does examinations, he will do that while waiting for PCC. Hopefully we won't have to wait too long for PCC. His appointment for that is on the 19th. Then he just has to print some pictures/skype logs and I think we're good. How much proof of relationship are you including? I front-loaded my application so I'm not sure how much to bring.

We have got watsapp chat history of about 800 pages, telephone records, enagegment ring reciepts, some greeting cards sent to each other, facetime calls, engagement album pluse some random pics. So i think it should be enough. I have already applied for PCC, m also waiting for address verification and inquiry from police, should get it soon. How did u get to know consulate reacieved ur file? Did u check it online using case number? Wat does it actually say when they recieve it?

Sorry, I've never been able to figure out how to attach an image in this forum, my attachments don't work.

I don't really understand what Ready means, but I think it means they received and entered it into their system on the 3rd. Hopefully we will hear from them soon. I will update you when they do.

800 pages?! You printed all of that? I could definitely do the same, but I really wouldn't want them to read it, and I don't have time to censor it! :P In our original submission I included 4-5 pages of chats. I'll see what else I can dig up. I'm also going to get a statement from both mine and his parents- it can only help for them to see our parents are supportive since I'm not Indian. When he went for his tourist visa interview, they asked him about that. He almost didn't get it.

Just checked status changed to "In Transit" but it also says interview date was provided to you by national visa centre

M confuse now, do they actually provide interview dates? Was it same on yours??
