Visiting spouse in UK while waiting on immigration?

This may be considered irrelevant to these forums, BUT my spouse hopes to visit me in the coming months in the UK.

We were just wondering: in terms of our immigration status (I am looking to move from the UK to the US and we have filed an I-130 and are waiting to hear back on a decision), is she still allowed to come and visit me while this is being processed?

It would also be fantastic if you could give us any advice on her visiting the UK from the US.

She hopes to visit me for 3 months. It says on the .GOV website that any stay under 6 months when visiting family/tourism reasons does not require a visa, just the appropriate forms/documentation at the port of entry.

We've been reading online though about people being denied entry, so we are a little nervous about her coming over.
