immigration ELIS system+SSN for mororccans

hi,

i entered usa with CR1 visa last thursday,and before traveling my wife paid the Immigration ELis Fee..when i checked online the statut doesnt change yet is still (Your application/petition has been accepted and is pending review. )

does anybody know when the statut can change and how long it takes to get the green card..and if i should apply for SSN or just wait to get it by mail with the green

NB: while filing my immigrations papers i already mentiend that i wanna receive the SNN

My husband entered on the 25th and received his social security card in the mail today. ELIS status has not changed yet.

You have to go to the social security Oficce in your city,bring your passport and all your documents,they will send your social in seven or ten days after apply,you will receive your green card in 45 days or less,don't worry about that,my husband received his GC in 45 days

SSN AND GREEN CARD ?

Just the social security card. The green card takes a bit longer.

We never had to go to the local office to get the social security card.
