Hello everyone,

I had my interview today, i got there on time even it was a lot of traffic. But thank God that I made it.

So the interview was good as short about 15 minutes.

Finally I became a citizen of USA. Yaaaayy

I passed the civic test and writing and reading.

Feeling Happy.

Thanks to everyone who supported me and good luck to you guys.

You became a citizen? So they scheduled you for a same-day oath ceremony after you passed your interview?

I'm just checking, because you didn't say anything about the ceremony.

Definitely excited to see so much progress for our group!!! Congrats to all those whose journey is finally complete!!

Just as an update, got a biometrics notice a couple weeks ago to do my fingerprinting on January 9, 2015. Yesterday got an email that I was in line for the interview and then today, I got another email that I have been scheduled for an interview. So now I will patiently wait for my interview date to come in the mail...

That's the officially published information But you can go through the experiences posted by applicants in previous monthly threads and see if anyone in New York was given a same-day oath.

So you are still a permanent resident. Please make sure that you DO NOT try to register to vote or update your citizenship status with the DMV or Social Security Administration until you take your oath... that's when you'll become a citizen. Also, don't try to apply for a passport until then.

You probably know all this, but I want to make sure you don't make a mistake. :-)
