I see few folks are inline for the interview but the date field is empty. The INS sends you text stating that you are inline for interview, but they do not give you the interview date? Is that what is going on?

I see few folks are inline for the interview but the date field is empty. The INS sends you text stating that you are inline for interview, but they do not give you the interview date? Is that what is going on?

To be in line means you're placed in line for interview scheduling and should receive an interview date and place within 90 days of being placed in line.

I got my yellow letter 3 days ago, but no interview dated yet. Well they asked for IRS agreement. And passport and green card.

E-mail with case update says exactly as quote below "

"On October 21, 2014, your N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION was placed in line for interview scheduling. When scheduling is complete, you will receive a notice with a time and place for your interview.

....

If your case status indicates that you are currently in this step, you have either been scheduled for an interview or are in line to be scheduled for an interview. The amount of time your application will remain in this step will vary by office and is largely determined by the number of cases ahead of yours. The interview notice will have specifics about time, location and anything you will need to bring to your interview."

Got my yellow letter today, requesting passport/s and state ID.

Dec 05, 2011: Received U.S. permanent resident status (AOS based on K-1 visa)

Dec 16, 2013: Removal of conditions on green card

Apr 28, 2015: Became a U.S. Citizen

In line for interview as of today, yay!!! And now waiting until about March/April to be actually scheduled, since Denver is 7 months behind....

PS: Should/could we add a Yellow Letter column to our list? Some other threads have one, I saw.
