Dallas police arrest cousin for murder of missing 5-year-old girl

Dallas police have made an arrest in the murder of a 5-year-old girl who was found dead Sunday in a vacant Lake Highlands apartment.

Police said 17-year-old Angel Lizandro Sanches-Zenteno killed Kathrine Alejandra Gonzalez and dumped her in a vacant apartment next to his apartment in the same complex. Police identified him as her cousin.

The medical examiner ruled the initial cause of death as strangulation, said Dallas police Maj. Rob Sherwin.

Sherwin said an uncle was babysitting Kathrine and her siblings while her parents worked Sunday. An aunt called police to report her missing after she had last seen the girl playing with her sisters around 11:30 a.m. Sunday at the complex in the 9500 block of Royal Lane.

Police swept the complex during a three-hour search and found her dead in a vacant apartment. During their investigation, a witness told police he had seen Kathrine walking with Sanches-Zenteno around noon.

Police took Sanches-Zenteno, the witness and multiple family members to headquarters for questioning.

“We have probable cause to believe strongly that he is responsible for the death of this little girl,” Sherwin said.

Sanches-Zenteno faces a charge of capital murder. He’s being held in Dallas County jail and his bail has not been set.

Police believe he was in the country illegally.

Why not just hate all aliens? As with love, one should never dispense hate sparingly. Furthermore, qualifying them as illegal doesn't really justify warranting more or less hatred and it would sound more honest.

Well to be honest, deporting them back to Country of Origin would make more sense.

Seems if we had zero tolerance for illegals they would not come.

It seems very personal actually, but what do I know.

No one is forcing you to reply or react, its like you aren't able to control yourself and when you can't control me its fingers in the ears time. Interesting psychology at work there.

I think it is clear to anyone reading this thread who is being unreasonable here.
