We are in the same boat, 82 days since NOA1 and no sign yet. Nebraska sucks :clock:

Hi September filers. I've mailed our I-130 forms on September 19th. USCIS received docs on Sept 23rd. I've received a text msg from USCIS on Sept 25th. Received the official I-797 ( I guess this is the NOA1 everyone is referring to) on Sept 29th. I live in California so sent forms to Phoenix, AZ and our docs were sent from there to Nebraska Service Center. My spouse lives abroad and I am a US citizen. Happy for those of you who filed from abroad and got approvals in couple of weeks. From all the blog posts that I've read, I get the impression that Nebraska is one of the slowest to process these types of applications, not to mention they have the most applications about 96K, where CA is at about 13K applications. Anyone out there who got approved from Nebraska in less than 5 months? That is the current estimated processing time.

Sorry for the long post, it is my first time here.

Hello Everyone,

wow, congrats to all the approvals :) That´s great!

I have a question: I got an email today saying that "there has been a recent processing action taken place" on my case but then the case status is still Initial review. I got this email three months ago already and we received the I-797 in the mail too.
Has anyone else experienced this or something similar?

Best wished, Ellie

Hey guys, nevermind. I figured out that mine was sent to the Nebraska service center. I've been reading horrible stories in VJ that Nebraska center takes a very long time to process to get an NOA-2. Most people take 6-7 months. Is this true?

Compared to the ones got sent to California, it seems like a breeze. Is there a way to request for an expedited processing or transferred to another service center?

Hello everyone im new to the site. I too filed in September 10th for my husband. I got my receipt # September 16th. We have been together almost 5 years but got married in June of this year. We also have an almost 4 yr old son trying on our baby #2. Application was sent to the Vermont office and just yesterday my case got an update and im not quit sure what it means it says "your case transferred to our local USCIS office for processing." Can someone tell me what that means?!

Hello everyone,

first of all: Happy new year! I hope you´ve all had a great start in 2015 :)
Hopefully this year will be the year we all get to be with our loved ones for good :)

Now, I was wondering, since the USCIS website changed their layout you can´t see the different stages of the case processing anymore (Like before: Acceptance, Initial Review, Decision making,....)
Our case now says "My case was received". We already got the NOA1 though.

I just wanted to see if you guys have different statuses there or if it always says the case was received while they work on it.
Thanks :)

Hi all,

Was wondering if anyone who has filled in Early September 2014 has received their NOA2 yet??

Ours was accepted on Sept 8, 2014. We still haven't heard anything from USCIS since our NOA1. Really hoping that we hear something soon. The waiting is very stressful.

Can anyone share experiences that have filled with Texas Service center and/or London Consulate?
