There's no need to call just track the location of your package online.

A tracking num is assigned to your package when you send via FedEx, DHL or USPS etc.

It's already gotten to Chicago. They've sent it on to California. That's what I'm meaning...if it's gotten to Cali or not.

Hi all! Another September filer here :) We applied from abroad,Bosnia-Herzegovina. Miraculously, our I-130 was approved in two weeks! It was received at the Chicago lock box on Sep 2nd, routed through the California service center, and I received the email that it was approved on the 16th. Waiting for NoA2 to arrive in the mail. Is anyone in tune as to how long the NVC part takes nowadays? I've heard 5-6 months. Good luck to all!

Good luck to you too :)

I noticed California Service Center filers get approved quicker. Why?

VJ even suggest it on the timeline of every I-130 filer under California Service Center, I see September 2014 filers being suggested to have their I-130 being adjudicated between September 2014 and October 2014. While Vermont Service Center I-130 filers may have their case adjudicated between January 2015 and January 2015. Why?

A lot of us sent to California are when the US Citizen is living abroad with our spouse, which seems to be getting an unofficial "auto-expedite"

Oh, the "auto-expedites" are going through again! I remember reading through the topic a long time ago, but then in 2013 the process started to slow down for all applicants, regardless of whether applying from abroad or not. Which is why we haven't had our hopes up for a fast approval, though it would be nice :) . Well, I guess we'd have to first send the package. Got everything ready now except for my husband's picture, and it's set to go.

Yeah I saw many people getting approved in one week to a month which is very encouraging. So did you get the pictures or you will get them by post ? I remeber sending my Passport pictures via email to my wife when I was in London and she printed them which was quite easy, cheap and time saving.

We're both in Finland, have lived here for years. We'll have the pictures taken this weekend and send the package off to my mother-in-law, who will add the payment check and forward the package to the lockbox.
