I saw that some of you here are from sweden. I'm swedish and my husband is frim the US, we fgot married in sweden. Filed in september. Now we got RFE since they think our wedding certificate isb't good enough. Anyone else who had this problem and can give me advice? We don't really have the same kind of certificates here in sweden... And, OF COURSE, our case is in Nebraska :-(

Congratulations on your approval. I have Sept 23 PD, hopefully the hold up is not for an RFE...fingers crossed.

Hi Rachel,

I have a Sept 23rd PD, everytime I called and ask to submit a service request I have been told the same thing 'you are within normal processing timelines'. I've talked to a tier 2 agent in two different occasions and they said the same thing and didn't process a service request for me.

Were you able to submit a service request by tier2 agent? And if you did, when did they enter your service request?

Thank you,

Oh! Please don;t do that! A Service Request is only going to make you wait 30 days to 90 days to get any sort of attention or even as a reply from them. If you launch an SR by phone or online, then you are giving NCSC license to brush off status updates inquiries by you with them citing the robotic reason that you have to wait out the expiration of your SR in order to get case status updates from them. Ghat wait can range from 30 to 90 days. Watch out!!! An info pass is usually better.

I've tried to file an e-request on uscis website, however the system didn't allow me to do that. It said it was within normal processing timelines. At this point, the only thing we can do is to call them on a weekly basis and just wait for the NOA2 :(

Has it been 6 months since your priority date? If it isn't yet 6.5 months, perhaps that why the systems aren;t allowing service request inputs on your case at this time?

Good Morning,

Has anyone with September 23rd PD tried to submit a e-request on uscis web site? I've just tried and got a message stating that I was within the normal processing timelines therefore the system wouldn't allow me to file the e-request. Today is March 16th, how is it that we are still within normal processing timelines? Nebraska Serv Center states 5 months for processing, well I am well over my 5 months. Please let me know if any of you got lucky with this e-request filing?

Thank you,

Hi. DID you get through with a SR or NOA2 by now? "Normal processing times" is now 6.5 months.

Our PD is Sep 23, we called them a couple of times, last call was yesterday, every-time when we are calling they are saying our case is late by only one week. Also they were unable to raise a service request, saying they were getting a popup saying the case is within timelines. They said they are currently processing Sep 16 cases and we may have to wait one more week.

I still don't understand how they are calculating 5 months in their calender.

The center's goal (USCIS overall goal) is 5 months. Their "normal processing times" is now 6.5 months.

In all things, new and old, rest is inevitable.

Yes my husband was able to make a service request by a Tier2 When we had 4 months and 15 days and from that it took month for our approval.

Good Luck :D

Yes, it has been 6 months and 9 days today. Well, processing times for Nebraska was listed at 5 months when I applied back in September. Are they now listing 6.5 months for estimated processing times? I was able to submit a service request over the phone last Friday, that explains why all my attempts to submit a service request was denied after my 5th month.

Thanks,

Yes, I was able to submit a service request last Friday but no NOA2 just yet :(

WOW, I didn't know that. Cause, I have been following this blog and lots of people talked about submitting service requests and getting approvals within 2 weeks or a month after their service request submission. This is the first time I see an explanation like this which makes a lot of sense. Wish I knew this before I made that service request last week :(

It has been more than 6 months and I did submit the service request over the phone. But, it turns out it wasn't the best thing to do, it may now delay my case longer than it would have been.

Are there persons with Sept. 29 PD still waiting on their Noa 2? I'm getting a little frustrated with the waiting, patience is wearing thin.

Did you get your NOA2 yet?
