We are sending within the next week as well. I have to return to Canada to work in two days. Very sad to be leaving but very happy to have a job to keep me busy and making money while we have to wait anyway.

I will be interested to see the progress of everyone filing now.....please keep posting your progress.

We're filing from abroad and gathering our paperwork together, intending to send the package in September. Exciting! We do have a question regarding the I-130 though: in section C, first page, Q 15: Name and address of present employer; whose employer information should we fill in, the petitioner's or the beneficiary's? Confusing!

Otherwise we should have the documents rather well together. We've applied for passports for our children through the embassy during the past couple of years and it's pretty much the same documents and information they ask for.

Good luck for your journey and about the question it's referring to beneficiary's employment so you should fill out the details of the benificiary as we did the same.

Is there a point to calling to make sure the package has arrived to the appointed service center?

There's no need to call just track the location of your package online.

A tracking num is assigned to your package when you send via FedEx, DHL or USPS etc.
