I have called four times today. First thee at 9AM and was told my application was within normal processing time, but I told them it wasn't and wanted to submit an e-request. They couldn't do it. Also, I was told Nebraska is working on August 16, which is BS because I saw about 7 cases PD Sep. 10th being approved yesterday and today. I called again at 5:15PM and a really nice lady told me I was within the 5 months, and after trying twice, she was able to do an e-request. Then, she told me someone was working on my case "right about now" :o and that I should receive my notice (hard copy) in 20 days!!!

How did you do a e request they won't let me when I call they tell me I'm still in the normal processing which is bs cause I'm not .

I got into the same issues as you...the guy who answered the 1800 had nothing new to offer and said he couldn't put a request as the application was still showing within processing time. So I went ahead and called my Senator who put through an enquiry onto why it was taking so long. She was given two weeks by USCIS to look into the matter and a week after I got the approval.

However some people have suggested in this forum and elsewhere that you can ask to talk to tier two person when you call and that tier two person can actually access the current situation of your petition and hence more information but you have to insist.

I wish you all speedy processing.

One thing with these people is they don't give accurate information, you have to insist!!!! I wish you the best.

Call them and insist as you can see the post above. Expedite is almost impossible unless you have a weighty reason for that but you shouldn't be far either. I pray for you and all the rest because this is a tough road.

I've also tried to get information and was told I'm within the five months processing time. I've now had that explained to me. See USCIS don't count five months from the date they accept the petition. They count five months from the MONTH the petition is received, not the date. So if you file in September, regardless of what date, five months is counted from last day of September, i.e. for all September filers USCIS have till February 28th to give us our decision. So if you haven't heard anything by then, an e-request can be made March 1st. Stupid system!

All I can say is woow. Then they shouldn't say its five months because five months is what it is 150 days approximately.

Wow ... Congrats

ours is Sept 9 and nothing yet.. My wife is freaking out ... Gosh how do they process ... Any idea

Thanks :)

Call them until they get tired, lol. I called them four time two days ago until a nice lady finally "was able" to submit an e-request (although at first she said she couldn't do it because I was "within" their normal processing time, but I insisted I wasn't. Miraclely, two seconds later, someone was working on my case, she said.

Finally after 6 people I was able to get one of them to do a service request I said why couldn't the others do it, she said because there is a different way that allows it to go through even if it's within the bs 5 months they tell you . Basically get someone that's super nice or your screwed .

Guys my husband made a Service Request on February 20th and they called us on February 23rd to confirm our info. We havent reach 5 months yet, we will reach them next Wednesday 3rd. What I am saying is you can call and make a service request even before 5 months. The guy who talked to my husband said our case was going to be processed on March 20th or before.

Good luck folk and be persistent for they to made the service request, that was what my husband did.
