I-130 September 2014 filers

Got my wife and kids NOA2 via SMS and Email today. (Nebraska office)

Our PD was August 28 and Notice Date 02 September.

So, it took about 5 months and 1 week to approve. We had no RFE's

And now.....(drum roll).....on to chapter 2 of the dreaded process :)

ShivaniVivek and vicduplessis, thank you for posting your NOA2. I heard that Nebraska was backlogged with about 4 to 6 weeks so hearing that you got your approval really made me hopeful.

Congratulations and fingers crossed the rest of us September filers hear something soon too.

Hi everyone! Congrats to all the approvals! Our approval was last Wednesday and we just received the mail notification and it states that NVC will send documents to Beneficiary whom is abroad. Can this be changed? My husband and I don't feel safe with sensitive documents in Mexico. We've had issues where tons of mail I've sent him gets "lost." Does NVC actually send documents to beneficiary and if so is it DHL? THANKS!!!!

Nebraska is unfortunately the slowest of the service centers for the I-130. They have a goal of processing within 5 months which means that in theory, you should be getting your NOA2 any day now.

As soon as our I-130 petition hits the five month mark, we will send an e-request through USCIS's website regarding our case being past the target timeline. I encourage everyone whose I-130 petition goes above the 5 month target to file an e-request for an answer via USCIS's website. The more people that do it, the more pressure USCIS get to actually do their job within the timeframe, which is too long as it is anyway.

we already called them to ask whats after the 5 months and we did e request by phone and they will relpay to us after 21 days

hi all! we got our case approved at NVC and an interview date set for March 9 That makes almost exactly 6 months from the time we sent the I-130 packet to the interview date. wishing everybody a speedy processing!

Where are we September filers? Any approvals especially from NBC? I hit the five months mark on 02/10 and actually called the USCIS to see If I can find anything but didn't get much. The representative told me that I am within the processing time but I told him, no I am not. Then he tried to put an enquiry but the website wouldn't allow him. So he said he sees they are on 08/16/14 by that date which was 02/11/15. I didn't expect much but wanted to see what they would say. So the waiting continues.
