As far as I can tell, the only purpose alcohol serves is getting people laid. Guns don't even do that, although from some of the posts I've seen here I wonder if people don't have some kind of weird sexual fantasies concerning firearms.

Lao Zao is a rice wine often used in wine yeast balls that are sold in chinese and vietnamese food shops. They taste very good.. Some of the best chicken I ever had was in a hotel in Luxembourg.. It was a chicken dish served in a wine sauce... A house wine at that. from what I understand. The only sexual fantasy about guns are from people that seem to dislike guns ... Strange.

Ok then. You have had a couple meals that tasted good. Did they taste good because of the wine, or would they have tasted just as good without the wine? Are those tasty dishes worth all the people that die from alcohol?

I've asked like 1000 times what other purpose do firearms serve besides killing things. The only response I seem to get is stuff like skeet shooting. Hardly a good reason in my mind for there to be 330 million of them in the U.S. If someone dropped a magic bomb on the U.S. that destroyed all firearms, except those owned by the military, I'd say the country would be a better place. Of course that's fantasy and not reality, but the point is that firearms do way more harm than good.

I'm a live and let live kinda guy. If you want to have 100 guns or get wasted on rice based liquor, have at it. But don't blow smoke up my azz by telling me that it serves some kind of greater purpose or makes the food taste better. Similarly with firearms. I get it, it's in the constitution, but don't tell me they make the U.S. a better place to live, because they don't.
