Hello, My first time posting so sorry if this is an over-asked question or in the wrong place. I searched for this type of question but didn't find it. My wife and I received the IV instructions letter from the Guangzhou consulate in China. There are some docs that we are unsure of how to get. Thought someone on here could help me find how to get them.

Birth Certifiicate:

My wife does not have a birth certificate. She was born at home in a small town and she says that they didn't always record births in China. Does anyone know where we can get something like this?

Police Certificate:

We are not sure what this is. Can she go to any police station to get this? Also she doesn't live in the city she was born in. Does she need to get one for each city she was in? When I read the letter, it sounds like it wants a cert from every province...

any help you can give us would be appreciated.

Thanks

Dayfish

check out the china forum, the pinned topic.

all that stuff covered there.

is likely she will have to travel back to her hukuo city and get all done, there, so make plans for that travel.
