HOW TO KNOW IF HER GREEN CARD ISSUED?

Hello VJ's,

My wife get her green card through me CR-1 and she is 2 weeks now and still her green card not recieved on mail but her social security card was issued.

There is anyway to get status for her green card and if i need to change the address which will green card deliver.

It can take up to 60 days from PoE to receive the green card in the mail (assuming the immigrant visa fee has been paid).

She's lucky she got her SSN so fast and without having to go in person (I assume), my cousin opted for the automatic SSN and waited a month for nothing. As for the GC, don't be concerned, I've seen some people take as long as 3 months to receive it. The stamp on her visa serves as a GC for 1 year for all intents and purposes. She can use this along with her SSN to apply for a DL, bank account, get a job, etc. She can also travel with this. There are some people who don't always know about this and may give you a hard time, like at the DMV for example. But feel free to apply for or do anything that would require the use of a GC since it's not necessary to have the actual card yet.
