Wow. He really laid it on the line and called people out. He is a very intelligent young man. I hope that others will listen to him and start doing what he says. I believe it is going to start turning around. I believe in my heart that, there are far too many good black people in this country, that are also getting fed up with being defined by the lowest common denominator If you had grown up, where I did, you would understand why blacks rally around kids like TM and M Brown. It's pretty arrogant if you ask me. It adds no additional understanding to the issue of race politics. The OP has clearly just gone out and found a video that confirms his own beliefs.

I wouldn't read too much into it. I would be childsh, to say the least, for anyone to pretend this young man to speak for all American blacks, even if his narrative was chosen to fit a particular agenda. However as you say, it would indeed be a sorry state of affairs to pretend othewise.

Who's pretending he speaks for all blacks? I took it as him telling it how he sees it. He made some excellent points about how blacks are perceived by many people. Telling people to take responsibility for themselves is good advice no matter what race you are. Blaming all of you problems on someone else and not taking responsibility for your own actions is nonsense.
