Congratulations!

I also had my interview today. It went pretty well, although they had trouble getting my fingerprints. They told me they'd call when I can pick up my passport. Hopefully it'll be by Friday, otherwise I won't make it to my flights. :unsure: They couldn't obviously guarantee that, but said that it's likely I'll be able to get it in time. CEAC shows AP.

Here are the questions they asked me, in case anyone is interested :) I'll post an embassy review once I've gotten my passport back.

-why are you moving to the U.S?
-how long have you been married?
-where did you meet? Which university?
-do you have kids? How many? Are they already citizens?
-where are you moving?
-when are you moving?
edit. I might also add that it was a very pleasant chat, they were all very friendly at the consulate :)

My brother had his B1/B2 visa interview last Tuesday and received his passport by courier the following day. There is no reason why they couldn't have yours ready by tomorrow.

Did anyone call to see if NVC has begun scheduling interviews today? :huh2:

I think someone said he/she was going to call today. :content:

I am wondering about this "NVC doesn't schedule interviews on Mondays" Does anyone know what that statement is based on... it seems it may be VJ urban legend :)

I think most Embassies aren't as mean and nasty like those from Arab and a few other places and I'm happy and relieved they where nice to you. :)(L)

Thank you sweetheart! I'm pretty sure they felt sorry for me because I have these massive (and painful) braces on my teeth :lol:

There was a girl before me who was told to get more evidence or something cause "you hardly know this boy". I didn't listen to the whole conversation, so I don't know what their story was. Anyways I knew they couldn't tell me that, since I've known my husband for years, so I wasn't too worried :)

I am trying to wait until at least mid-day tomorrow. I am just to disheartened by my 0 for 4 failure rate last week! I am spending every two minutes checking up on here though to see if someone else has good news that I might as well be spending that time on hold.

The kids thing is sad. My husband has only seen our kids once in the last 6 months. That is tough when one of them is only 6 months old :(, and the other is 2&1/2 and asks every day "where'd my daddy go?" They are both US citizens though, so they could travel back and forth, but we just don't have any way to facilitate that. This is in no way as tough as other stories I have heard with years of separation and waiting. The day-to-day isn't easy. Thank goodness for Skype, but I am ready to be together as a family again.

I am wondering about this "NVC doesn't schedule interviews on Mondays" Does anyone know what that statement is based on... it seems it may be VJ urban legend :)

Since you asked ... ;) And it's not that NVC doesn't assign on Mondays or Fridays, it's just not as often as mid-week dates according to past trends.

This is from the August 2014 Interviews thread, thanks to domwardbound:

I'd really be shocked if there wasn't some scheduling action this week.. gotta trust the stats..

A recap of my findings -

  • NVC has been very very consistent, especially in the last few months, of large batches of scheduling every 2 weeks, give or take a few days:

  • People don't often longer than 16 days, with 85% being scheduled within 20 days:

  • Scheduling is usually mid-week. Wednesday and Thursday are most popular. Any time from Tuesday-Friday is normal:

Then again, since NVC went bizerk recently, this may not be true anymore, but it was pretty steady for a few months.

Hello everybody! Just got a case complete today:) Called NVC today twice already:) Both agents did not know that the case is expedited at the embassy stage. Starting to get worried that the papers will just sit there forever again..

Supervisors were at the meeting.
What do you think? should I keep calling them to remind to send the docks? We were stuck at every step... Loosing my hope that at least the last step will go smoothly
